A Board meeting

We had a Board meeting, general annual meeting and a strategy session in Backsen kartano in Vantaa. The place is lovely. The country house is an old one and owned by HOK Elanto near the Helsinki- Vantaa airport. We ate lunch, a good local soup,...and salmon with apple dessert. A good menu.More

Stunning business dinner!

A group of customers to celebrate agreement, private dinner and Colonel’s menu. Wonderful! Local, traceable and even self-hunted ingredients prepared with great care. Tasty, delicious and served cordially. Blinis with vendace roe and smetana, game stock with root salad; fried char; roasted white chocolate pudding;...all with well accompanying drinks. Strong recommendation!More

Great lunch

I had lunch in Restaurant Backas and I had to say that it was just great. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very nice; old and dignified. The staff was really nice and polite. The starter buffet was just perfect; their mushroom salad was especially...good as well as other starters. The main course vendace with broccoli was very good. Very nice!!More

Nice Summer cafeteria

The summer cafeteria was just lovely! Nice atmosphere, good coffee and an original Finnish touch on it all. If you want to experience the Finnish countryside and have a few hours to spare while changing flights this is where you should head. Only 10 minutes...from the airport with a taxi. This place is simple, cosy and unique. They serve a simple lunch 8-10€, coffee 2€, buns/cakes 1,5-5€? They also serve alkohol. Open all summer Sunday - Thursday 11-20 and Friday- Saturday 11-22.More

Great place for meeting and dinner just 5 minutes from the airport "in the countryside"

Atmosphere is like being in the countryside, although it is only 5 minutes from the airport. Really fine renovated old manor house operating restaurant. Food is delicious. Manor house has great history. I warmly recommend Backas restaurant.

Calming surroundingd

We had Christmas Lunc with a fairly large group in Backas. These Xmas lunches tend to be the same no matter where you go. Traditional Finnish Christmas food was served here as well. It wasn’t better or worse than half a dozen other places I...have had similar lunches this year. An old mansion forms a very calming and stylish surroundings. The restaurant is open only during special seasons or events. It opens as a lunch restaurant in Jan though and is definitely worth checking out, I know I will.More
