Sushilounge in Tikkurila offers really delicious sushi platters right next to the railway station of Tikkurila. The venue is nice & cozy and the service really prompt and friendly. This really is a quality sushi place and I'd warmly recommend it to all who love...Japanese food as there are many options in the menu!More
I'm not sushi expert pro but I have eaten sushi a lot all over the world (not in Japan) and I have found a couple of good ones.
I'm writing this with heavy hearted because I wanted to believe when I went in due to...my friends recommendation.
The whole package seemed to be really well together, I mean nice terrace, interior, menu etc. But the first contact was not that good. We tried to get in one day before my first visit and the restaurant was half empty, but still the waitress seemed pretty stressed and said that the waiting time would be almost one hour, do you have time for that. No, we didn't have that kind of time on that day and she seemed a bit relieved – but at the same time we were wondering why she didn't even try to - like offering us some starters for beginning.
The second attempt was success and I got in and ordered starter and nigiris. Servings were pretty but nigiris seemed a bit "big" and yes they were, even I'm not first timer with sticks it was a bit hard get the bites up and it was too big for a bite (you can always use your hands, I know). Second notice was the taste – there was no taste, the rice was pretty much tasteless. I ate almost everything but at the same time I decided that it will be my first and last time in this place. They should pay attention to quality of service and food asap. Hopefully this review will help restaurant as well.More
Sushilounge has very clearly marked vegan options in it's menu, and they are good! Also the drinks list is marked for vegan wines. The edamame plate is huge! The vegan combo platter, the vegan temaki, and the crispy vege uramaki are great. I wasn't a...fan of the wakame salad, and I have not tried the vegan chirashi bowl yet. But I will.More
Excellent lunch sushi with 6 maki and 4 nigiri for 10 euros plus miso soup for one euro. Also water, tea and coffee included. Very fresh and tasty sushi for a good price in a small and cozy restaurant. Recommended!
