Beautiful location (in summer). Good service and the food is good but not great. Their toast Skagen was very balanced and tasty. The main course "muikku" (vendace) is very delicate fish. In this restaurant muikku was factory gut. In this process you always lose some...of the juiciness. Although the fish was well cooked ang fresh, you can expect hand gut, which makes the difference. Very delicious specially smoked salmon and other fish meals, as a nice nice extra you get house baked warm bread buffet, maturity of fish was perfect, my recommendations for Nuotta restataurant, even the meal waiting time can be rather long.
This place was better than I expected! The salmon soup was so delicious and everything else we had was very nice as well. And the view is beautiful!
Visited Nuotta in nice July evening. When arrived we and other guests after us were asked if we had a table reservation. We didn’t have but there were several tables available. There are also tables on the second floor but we were told that food...is not served there but you have to pick up plates from the counter and pay in advance. As appetizers we ordered green salad and blinis with smoked salmon. Salmon and blinis were delicious but green salad was a bit too oily. As a main course we had blinis and vendace with mashed potatoes. Both were delicious although the green salad with fish and mashed potatoes was a bit miss. All in all food and service during the meal was very good. The reason I gave only three stars is the unacceptable delay providing a check. It took close to 40 minutes to get us check. I had to ask the check three times from different service personnel and finally when I told that we are leaving it was provided to us. This was really weird as customers in other tables had their checks as soon as they requested it. I do understand that waiters are busy and sometimes you just forget something like that but if a client has asked check twice you should find time to provide it. All in all I would recommend this place for decent food. I would recommend to have a tasting platter as a main course as this seemed to provide a good selection of different local delicacies.More
I recommend to test this harbour restaurant to my friend during a dayvisit to Imatra. Nice Saimaa athmospere. Good smoke laxblini and exellent perch. Visit this place on warm and sunny summerday.

The location is very beautiful by the lake. The food was delicious, however, due to the kitchen's small size, we had to wait our dinner for 1,5 hours! We had a beautiful view and it was quite comfortable to wait. We wish we had known...this when we made the table reservation so that we could have been prepared. Service was friendly. The food was worth waiting for and we would go again.More
Tasty fish food that came to table suspiciously quickly. Boiled potatoes did not live up to the level of other components. Service was good. Location gives spectacular views to Lake Saimaa, but means also being located a bit far from the centre, but wow close...to the Imatra Spa.More
First of all it was one of hottest days of the summer. We reserved table for six few days ahead and get outside table with no sunshade or what so ever. Then ordered starters and began to wait ,wait ,wait ,wait ,wait and waited for...approx. 1h for starters. Also waiters were so busy that we ran out on water. Then 1h 57minutes later finally get our meals, food was ok but experience was so bad that never again.More
Beach bar like restaurant with large terasse areas. Rotisseur-medals hanging on the wall. Nice but a bit unexperienced staff. Interesting menu with emphasis on local fish and smoked fish. Also good selection of russian style blini and pelmeni. Burgers and steaks too. Had a lunch...there. Muikkuja (vendance) fried in butter with mash. Quite delicious but the 'muikut' were a bit large and so not as crispy as possible. My wife had a local whitefish (siika) which was fresh but a bit low on salt.More
Nuotta is located at a beautiful harbour. I was expecting a lot more. Service was slow and prices are very high. I ate vendace and had a much better dish for half a price in Lappeenranta next day. If you enjoy lake scene, maybe you...should stop for a drink at Nuotta.More
Extremely long waiting times although the restaurant was half empty. This place used to be much better.
Exellent and fresh seafood. We had an appetizer and main course with local fish. Clean and very Finnish tastes. When wisiting Imatra, it is worth while to wisit harbour and this restaurant. Friendly service. Beautiful surroundings with lake wiew.
Waiting time for the blinis was almost an hour and half of the group had eaten when rest got the food. No apologies for the delayed food. Take a burger, blinis nothing special.
This mixed kitchen restaurant offers something for everyone. Unfortunately a little distant location from Imatra centre but worth to take a taxi. Fast and helpful service, reasonable prices and most important GOOD FOOD. And great lake view.
