We were attracted by the lunch menu into this small but attractive restaurant and left congratulating ourselves on the choice. The special lunch menu only had two options for each course but to me that is a good sign, an indication that the dishes are freshly prepared and cooked. I had foie gras starter and entrecote steak main course -... More

We have been here four times in 7 months. It's a great outing for us as a somewhat-rare treat. The service is spot-on and unobtrusive, the food has always been excellent and the wine choice good and not exuberantly priced.

We love this restaurant which never fails to impress! The creative food, second to none, is made fresh and to order - they always ensure that my allergies are well catered for. The owner is extremely friendly, polite and accommodating offering that little bit extra which makes it so special. The restaurant is clean and fresh with a lovely atmosphere... More

A small, potentially intimate place with a short menu but allowing for seasonal and market changes. The food was creative and original. Very good: for example excellent asparagus with high quality olive oil, dill weed and bits of toasted cheese, like the religieuse you get at the end of a fondu. Definitely something new to me. As was a "burger"... More

The Medieval has always been a good eatery if a bit pricy. They have recently changed their menu approach and given the restaurant a bit of a face lift, and it is an improvement. Their dishes of the day are excellent eg Roulade of stuffed Guinea fowl.

Déçue / disappointed. Food alright but far from great. Service was quick. Service rapide. A bit cheeky.

I was visiting Foix with my wife and we saw plenty of good looking options to eat. This place seemed to be good and we were very glad to choose it. For a 16 euros menu each, we got a marvelous plate and dessert, along with a very reasonable cup of red wine, all very well presented and definitely of... More

If you are in Foix Ariege Pyrenees seek this restaurant out and miss all the other 'tourist' haunts. You will pay a bit more but the food and service is excellent. Had lunch there today of a marinated salmon pave, lieu noir (white fish like cod) and a 1st class Soupe de Fraises (Strawberry soup) with a home made sorbet.... More

We were in Foix in the off season - too late for ski season, too early for summer - so a lot was closed, and this seemed like the best option available. It was incredible! An amazing foie gras amuse-bouche and lots of other personal touches really made the meal feel special, and the food overall was fantastic. The space... More
