Ok, everything seems to shut around 8pm, so at 7:15pm we were pushing our luck. This brightly lit restaurant just off the main 323 highway, was a great find. We were the only people there (due to time?) And i don't thunk they were expecting...more customers. However, service was friendly, both red curries were amazing with the prawn one having 10 very large prawns. Spicy hot and delicious. Very reasonable price of 280 baht (about £7). Would definitely stop again.More
I have had great luck with other recommendations. For a #1 pick I thought this was ok. they did not have two items, as it was a weekday and not the weekend. ODD!! For 1200 baht for 4 of us, the pricing is fair to...ok. I have great meals at half the price. The execution was good, there was just no WOW factor. Nothing jumped out at me as to say this is wonderful. I am not being exact in that food is really an emotional engagement first and second it becomes something more concrete. This did not pass the how does this feel test. My Thai friends agreed with me, ok and not bad were descriptors. OK off to the next place..../More
I just passed by on the way to wang Nok Kaew, the restaurant looks interesting. On the way back to Bangkok I stopped at the restaurant and found that the food taste is really good easpeciall Pak Wan. If I have a chance I will...be there again.More
We stopped over for a late lunch and the restaurant was crowded but they still accommodated us! The service was fast and the food was great! The price wasn't bad either! We didn't have to wait long for the food even though the restaurant was...full!More
A serendipitous find, we stopped off here for a late afternoon lunch on the way back to Kanchanaburi city after visiting the waterfalls. The featured ingredient in many dishes (also the name of the restaurant), pak wan, makes a novelty out of many familiar Thai...dishes. We recommend the fried pak wan salad and the black pepper beef.More
