The ceiling is low, but the atmosphere is high. Our small party was situated on the first floor for the dinner. The food was brillant, and there was plenty of it. The service was good. This Cody pub, as a whole, worth another visit.

We were very disappointed with our lunch yesterday. We took family who were visiting from Italy and we were all very disappointed. We all had Roast Lamb and it was tough and fatty and we really needed sharper knives, potatoes were so hard and cold as were the vegetables. The service was very slow so we did not stay for... More

We had booked a table in the restaurant well in advance. We were advised that, as there would be a large party of people upstairs from 2pm, the best time to arrive would be 4pm. This we duly did. There were only a few other people in the restaurant downstairs. On our arrival there was no sign of anyone serving... More

First time I've been back to The Plough since it's new ownership, it's been sympathically refurbished as most of the Time Well Spent chain of pubs are. You need to duck as the beams are very low. The service is good, the staff pleasant and welcoming. I had a burger 'The Nunnery', which is really tasty and everything homemade apart... More

Have been here a few times for Sunday lunch and got to say it's one of the best in the area, fresh veg, rich gravy, and real meat, not pre roasted sliced stuff that so many pubs do now, the service has always been good always a smile and nothing seems to much trouble

Lovely old pub, but lacked something. It was a bit off putting when we walked in to see three children sitting up the bar!

After visiting the pub and sampling the menu between Xmas and New Year, The Plough & Attic Rooms was the chosen venue for a party of seventeen to enjoy a very good Sunday lunch, after the majority had completed a 6km walk around the surrounding countryside. Good food and attentive service ensured that the whole meal flowed smoothly making for... More

We decided on a lunch at Rusper, and found this historical inn, The Plough & Attic Rooms. Lovely inside of a period inn which served good old pub food at very good prices with real ale. Service was excellent as we sat near the log fire, enjoying the ambience of this pub.

The recommendation from a few local people was to avoid The Plough and instead head for The Star further down the main street. The main rationale for this was that The Plough had been very unreliable over the last couple of months. However, although I quite like The Star, I thought I'd give The Plough a chance to prove themselves.... More
