My husband, two friends and I were taken to this restaurant as it has a such a good reputation for superb food, fantastically presented and when consumed you immediately know it has been prepared by a chef that is passionate about the food served. The...food was served by an equally passionate waitress who conversed in both French and English depended on her customers needs. So delighted that Sam a Brittany local knew of the restaurant and recommended it.More

Lunched here on Saturday after overnight ferry. A friendly welcome by Madame who politely continued in French when we showed willing to speak the language. English is spoken if you get stuck. We enjoyed the 6 course "escapade gourmandises" menu (don't think it's available in...the week). We were served by a charming waitress who explained in French what chef had cooked for us each course. Food was delicious and attractively presented, service was impeccable. We went back two more times with friends for lunch and each time we were made to feel very welcome and enjoyed our meals. The weekday lunch "formule" menu is not extensive but this is a good example of a chef doing a few things really well rather than a lot of things not so well. Pleuc sur Lié (pronounced Plerk) is a pleasant little town. Parking is right opposite L'Aromatic in square but might be tricky Thursdays as it's market day. Best to book. Would highly recommend this restaurant.More

This was a lovely surprise although I had heard that the front of house staff were very friendly and informative. We popped in for lunch on a Friday and the restaurant was busy. We were well received and shown to our seats. The waiter was...happy to speak French or English and very apologetic because the fish dish was off the menu. We noticed a good deal on offer where we could have a three course meal with mineral water and a glass of wine for €14 per person. We settled for the parsnip soup with foie gras for starters and the canard pot de feu for mains. The parsnip soup was absolutely delicious and far exceeded our expectations given the price of the menu. It was definitely of a Michelin standard. The duck legs were served on top of large slices of carrots, onions and potatoes with a delicious mustard sauce. It was so good I used my dessert spoon to finish it off. The dessert was a little orange tart served with blueberries and a tasty fruit coulis. Yes this was a superb lunch but the price with wine and water makes it the gastronomic bargain of our year! Highly recommended!More

We went there with family (two children 7 and 16) and had a great meal. Food was delicious, staff were well informed and friendly. English is spoken but best to know a bit of French when they describe each course as it comes out. I...will definitely recommend this to friends when staying in the Gausson area.More

This little small-town restaurant was recommended by a friend - and not without good reason. We were immediately welcomed and shown to a table (beautifully dressed with flowers, linen and sparkling glassware) by a lady (?owner) who smiled and noticed everything. The food was innovative,...elegantly presented and delicious. The bill was amazingly low - we could scarcely believe the value-for-money. The menu choices were limited but we could have chosen any of them and expected a pleasurable meal. This will always be on our list whenever we return. Service timely.More

Excellent value for money at lunchtime. The chef obviously takes care when choosing his ingredients and pairing his flavours. I like to eat here when I'm in the area.

We visited as a party of four on holiday in the area. We were warmly welcomed and very well accomodated. The main lady serving us made a real effort to speak to us in English due to our lack of French language and this was much...appreciated. The food was out of this world and exceeded our expectations, it was also great value for money. We took our 1 year old daughter along with us and again felt the staff made a great effort to accomodate our daughter and make it a pleasant experience for us all. The only critique I have is that the atmosphere did feel quite formal for the daytime and it seemed quite popular with business workers on lunch. There was no baby changing facility in the toilet.More
