We've had a meal and a drink in this pub and it was good and the staff were very friendly and attentive. We therefore thought we would give the carry out fish and chips a try. Big mistake. We ordered fish and sausage suppers over the phone. To collect them you are directed round the back. We were greeted with... More

My partner and I always order for a take away and it's usually lovely but yesterday we called for a large chicken tempura and portion of chips and the chicken tempura wasn't a large portion it was also soggy instead of crispy batter and the chips were burnt, disappointed

As is usual with Scottish Pubs in a rural location they are less interested in hospitality and more in making a living - so this place is expensive and not overly hospitable or friendly. The food and drink is expensive - they pride themselves on the restaurant but its marginal to say the least. Drink is limited in scope and... More

After attending a funeral tea our family was left very disappointed with the service and quality of the food. The rolls were very dry and stale. The tea and coffee (one small pot of each) were left on a table with the milk and sugar and we had to serve ourselves and continually had to ask for more which seemed... More

Early Saturday evening, Waited 40minutes for our main meal and only one other table of 4 were in eating same time as us. Received wrong meal, food cold. Waitress wasn't too bothered left the wrong meal while she went back to kitchen to check if it was wrong order or not. Table next to us did not get their starter... More

Great couple of hours. Warm welcome, with good service and then a lovely meal. Relaxed in a country pub for Sunday roast. Lovely.

Just back from our first visit to this place and must say the food was great, Compliments to the chef big Gary. My wife and I both had the Sunday roast. The kids had nachos and chicken strips. The portions were really good and was very well priced. Nothing was too much hassle for the staff. They were very attentive... More

Had gone for a drive as it was, for once, sunny & warm! Up here, that's a plus! Had been before & decided to stop off at The King's Arms in Fenwick & were very pleasantly surprised. The bar area was crowded & there was a vibrant buzz which was welcoming. The interior had been given an attractive makeover while... More

The King's Arms Hotel dates from the eighteenth century and was a busy staging post on the route south from Glasgow - offering extensive stabling and refreshment to travellers on their long journey to Ayr and beyond.Fenwick, separated from the parish of Kilmarnock in 1642, was renowned for the fertility of its soil and the quality of its cheese and veal.At the Venetian style windows on the left of the hotel, brides on their wedding day would cut their wedding cake and throw favours to the assembled crowd in the street below. The Kings Arms is a Traditional Scottish Pub. A warm welcome and friendly service, fine beers & wines and home made traditional food. Children welcome
