This is such a fun pub. The food was good and the Guinness was flowing, of course! We had the pleasure of seeing a family play trad music and even had a sweet Irish dancer. Memorable night!

Hi Katharine, thank you for review, and glad you enjoyed your visit to O'Connor's Pub.
We stayed in Doolin Inn for 2 nights. This bar which was across the street was just fantastic. We went for lunch when we arrived in Doolin. The homemade soup and wheaten bread were beautiful. Fergal the bar man was the best of craic. We...went back for dinner. The first night my husband had fish and chips, I had chicken dinner. It was so nice we went back on the 2nd night. Husband had burger and I had the fish and chips. It was delicious. The bar staff were absolutely brilliant. They even sang Irish songs and 1 played the tin whistle. The live music both nights was great too.More
hi , thank you for review, glad you enjoyed your visit to O'Connors Pub, I will inform Fergal and Shane about this, hope to see you again. Regards Myra
During a recent trip to Doolin, my partner and I visited this pub for dinner. The food and staff were fabulous from beginning to end. The Guinness was great and our waiter Seán was so welcoming- he made us feel right at home! We had...the wings and the beef burger which were both delicious. We loved our experience so much that we decided to revisit again for breakfast the following morning! We both opted for the full Irish which was brilliant! Our waiter Marcus was so accommodating! Nothing was too much to ask, he offered us extra soda bread and stopped for a chat which you don’t find often. We will definitely be coming back the next time we are in Doolin, worth every penny!More
Go for the Guinness and beef stew!! Delicious after a wet walk at the cliffs. Paired with a Jameson is great as well. Great craic all round!
This place has been a favourite of mine ever since I moved to Ireland years ago, they have my favorite beer and the chowder has always been the best I've had. We came there yesterday and was told to juat take a seat in a...barking manner. We ordered a starter to share, and a chowder and steak for mains. When starter came out, my chowder was brought out with is despite being specified that it was to come with mains. When i went to put some pepper on it, I cut myself on the shaker, and this is not the first time, it happened the last time aswell. I called over one of the girls and said it should be taken away as it's broken underneath. And she snapped it out of my hand. Chowder this time was unfortunately disappointing and I didn't enjoy it the way I have before. The woman who seemed to be in charge was less than accommodating and all in all it was a poor experience. My top got destroyed by some sticky grease that was on the table and that's just not good enough. Probably my last time(sadly) coming here.More
Delicious lunch in fun local atmosphere! Absolutely beautiful little village! A perfect stop for a pint and some lunch after hiking the Cliffs of Moher!! I wish we could have seen the vibe at night. The place is always hopping, and the food was delicious!
The food and atmosphere were fantastic. The stew and the goat cheese tartlet were great! The staff was also great. Would highly recommend it.
The pub is well located in Doolin. The food was okay. It is set up for you to find a table and then walk to the bar to order your food and drink. Service was expedient, but the overall experience lacked any real charm. I...believe they are set up to handle large tour crowds. Not the typical experience I would seek.More
Doolin is a tiny little town close to the Cliffs of Moher. We visiting the Cliffs in the morning and then drove to Doolin (about 15 mins) for lunch. We stumbled on Gus O'Connor's Pub and were delighted. The atmosphere was upbeat and positive. It...was a nice mix of couples, groups and families with good music and fun décor. The food was very good and everyone agreed it was one of our top lunches in Ireland.More
We visited this place for lunch, it was crowded but with reason. The food was great, we ate the irish stew and salmon and it was a hearty meal after a day walking in the rain. It meets all expectations of what one imagines to...find in a pub at small village.More
Wow, after being in Ireland for over a week, I got to witness the rudest barmaid ever. Norma has white hair and is one the heavy side, avoid her. She has been serving customers for too long and she is rude and tired. When the...fellow next to me asked about what beer was similar to what he liked, she just basically told him this is what we have take it or leave it. Almost like bugger off and pick one. If I hadn't already paid for my drink I would of walked away. I mentinned to her that she had just lost a customer, when the fellow walked away and she just shook her shoulders and said "no worries" whatever. Time to retire Norma. After my drink I went to 2 very friendly bars McGann's & McDermott. At both places the bartenders had to answer the same questions over & over yet we're always pleasant. When in Doolin do yourselves a favor & avoid Norma at Gus O'Connor she can't be bothered with us paying customers.More
I’d suggest you avoid this for food as the service is slow, hygiene isn’t too good, tables sticky, toilets need a refurb. The place was busy but staff seemed to be more interested in giving out to each other about how busy they were instead...of serving the customers waiting to order food and drinks.More
No customer service. No cead mile failte. Owners should be ashamed of what they are offering here. Let your staff take an order and interact with your clientele. Think about your Irish tourists who see straight through your lack of care and attention. Seem to...just be on a money grab from international holiday makers. Shocking..More
Lovely hearty pub grub, big portions. Disappointed with no table service but some tourist tables did get service. Veggie special was a curry. Really disappointed with Mc Donnell curry powder used for a curry special. Ruined my dinner and I’m gluten free which caused digestive...upset today. Recommendation to have a couple of gf options on the menu and omit Mc Donnell’s curry powder from your kitchen. My partners Chowder was lovely, Guiness stew was Great, Thai curry was average and everyone else seemed delighted with their dinner. Pub was very busy, great atmosphere and a lot of staff on.More
O'Connors was always a firm favourite but after giving it another go. No more. They are a busy pub yes but that does not mean you have to dole out horrible food like a prison. You wait to be seated small tables no room. Then...you have to order and pay at the bar. No table service and I counted 15 staff!!!? Really disappointed with the food I got the burger but OH got the fish and chips. Really enedible. Burger was pint and had a funny taste if it. Guy comes to take the plates away I start to explain about the food and he says tell someone else. One of the "waiters" dropped food beside our table and put it back on the plate! Floors are sticky and the place is not clean used to love O'Connors . I hope the tourists keep going because locals won'tMore
