Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

After nights on end of cookie cutter Irish bar menus, we lucked into this little gem of a place. Perfectly prepared lamb shank in an unpretentious and cozy pub that offered traditional live music in the evening for a reasonable cost. Make sure you take...note of their special's menu, written on the wall above the bar. The side Caesar salad was on point. Our boy ordered the pulled pork sandwich with sweet potato fries; also delicious. Highly recommend.More

Great local food, get the stew! This is a “quieter” pub, but excellent place to get a meal, watch sports on TV, and enjoy a chat with a local or traveler. It’s actually nice to have a place you can hear the conversation. Everyone is...kind and friendly, I highly recommend this for local, great, Irish fair!More

Best pub in doolin. Not dog friendly but have a unbelievable beer garden and bar outside. Had an amazing meal to follow. Friendly and helpful staff. Bernie and Emma were very memorable..

Lovely pub to get Irish stew for dinner after a cold day exploring Ireland. Get yourself a Guinness and relax. Just wish there was some live music.

Great atmosphere and food during a busy lunch setting - Julie looked after us and was that good my wife was compelled to buy a McGann’s T-Shirt! Excellent Cod and Chips as well as vege soup, wish this place was in New Zealand as we...would happily have it as our local! Thanks for the memories!More

We didn’t even make it in the door. We were asked to move out of the handicap parking space (which we have a valid permit and need). And move around the block so they could serve a tour bus. Abysmal service, who turns away paying...customers in a seasonal town that relies on visitors?More

The beef stew was the best meal that I had while in Ireland. It has mashed potatoes in it and it was hot and delicious on a rainy day.

Great pub with great seafood chowder. One of the best we had in Ireland. Super nice wait staff and fun atmosphere.

Fantastic place. Food was great (a big shout out to Tatiana who was excellent) and the ambience of the place was what one would imagine: the quintessential Irish pub in the middle of a wind-swept town by the sea. Warm inside and of course, the...trad music was unbelievable. A must in Doolin.More

After finding McDermott's to be a madhouse and waiting half an hour in vain, we went across the street to McGann's. We found the restaurant to be warm and cozy, with lots of locals but not too full to get a table. Dinner was good...and reasonably priced (45 euros for a beer, a bowl of good seafood chowder, and two entrees).More

We went to McGann's both nights we stayed in Doolin and loved it. Saturday night was hopping but we got seats. We both had the stew and it was delicious. Hung around to listen to the music for a while. Went back for dinner Sunday...night and each had a special. Delicious! The wait staff here is fantastic. I cannot say enough about them. They work hard but were some of the nicest we met in Ireland.More

this place operates with well oiled efficiency for tour groups on buses passing through on a Cliffs of Moher tour. Food was good and seemed to be fairly priced. Even with the high turn over of customers, service was friendly.

Came to McGann's Pub for lunch as part of a tour bus from Dublin. There were at least 40 of us, and the staff was incredibly friendly, quick, and professional. We were seated and served right away. Just as I got my food, another tour...bus came in and they were packed. They did a fabulous job handling everything and still remained so friendly. The Irish Beef Stew was one of the best I have ever had, plus they had Guinness 0.0 which made my meal complete. I loved it so much, I bought I shirt. I would highly recommend coming here if you're in Doolin.More
