Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I cannot understand why this pub is rated that good. We stopped here during a guided tour and it was mass processing. For sure, they are really fast and friendly, but the food is not good. We had the beef stew and cod&chips and both...were the worst we had in Ireland so far. Not recommended to eat here.More

Charming Irish Pub not too far from the Cliffs of Moher. Heard they had the best fish and chips in Ireland and Fish Stew. Busy with locals and busses but was able to handle it all. Really amazingly fast service. Funny too! Loved our bartender....Ordered and paid at the bar, they bring to the table. The fish and chips did not disappoint and I couldn’t believe I ate it all. The chips are so tasty and a cross between a fry and a potato chip. Cool decor inside dedicated to servicemen, policeman, fireman around the world and America which was pretty cool.More

This was the only bad meal I had in Ireland. Everyone that came in after us were served 1st...waitress forgot to put the order in. Fish & Chips...Fish was soggy with old grease and the chips were tasteless. There are better restaurants within walking distance...right up the road.More

Was on the Cliffs of Moher trip on 21 April 2023. The trip included a lunch stop in Doolin. The bus took us to Mcgann's Pub restaurant. It was too small a restaurant for the lunch of the passengers of one bus. On the seashore,...one imagines that in restaurants fish are freshly prepared for a meal. I ordered fish and chips, but it was both fried ahead of time and only reheated, it wasn't tasty at all and I couldn't eat.More

Great food and ambience matched with exceptional service. We really felt welcomed and comfortable. Perfect place for a couple of pints and a good meal. I had the beef stew which was really, really good.

Superb atmosphere of Irish pub where the meal did not fail: the burger and fish and chips were particularly successful! Good value for money and a great address in Doolin.

We were taken to McGann's for a late lunch as part of a trip. The food was excellent, and the service really fast, in spite of us being part of a group of 50, and the pub already being quite full.

The best seafood chowder I’ve had so far (wish I’d taken a photo)! The staff are absolutely lovely. P.S. VPD (Vancouver Police Department) needs to add their badge to the pub’s collection!

Very Busy venue on St Patrick's but service and food was great. Food was fab and kids menu was perfect. Music kicked off at 9pm and was a great bonus to mark St Patrick's Day in Clare.... Staff were great, very efficient.
