Called in here for lunch recently. The day was hot and the shade of the garden seats was appealing. From the menu we chose a pot of Mussels at 21 euro and fish and chips at 18 . Burgers , scampi etc are similarly prices...15 to 18 euro. We also ordered 2 bottles of craft cider which seemed appealing on the hot day. The cider came to the table first and was barely chilled. We asked for ice and was told there was none available. I would have thought any place selling cider should have ice as it's a drink most like very chilled. the fish was good but the "triple cooked" chips were nothing special, to me they tasted and looked like what I'd buy in a supermarket and cook from frozen. The mussels were also a disappointment, at least 20per cent of them had not opened and as such were left untouched in the pot. All in all, I thought the food was overpriced for what it was. Restaurant prices for what I thought was average barfood standard. Disappointing.More

What a welcoming beautiful spot in Doolin. They are unique with incredible dishes. The team here are very welcoming, and it is very relaxing inside and outside. The food was reasonable as the portions are plentiful and packed full of flavour.

We tried the soup of the day with apple and curry, and also Chowder. Both were excellent! They were very flexible with the dishes we ordered for children.

This review will be short and sweet, this establishment is top notch I couldn't fault it. We waited a few minutes for a table as it was very busy but it's well worth it. Food and service top notch, I would highly recommend it, great...value for money tooMore

The atmosphere and food were perfect. We were treated like family and loved every minute. I had the best mussels of my life. I called ahead because we weren’t sure how busy it would be at 7pm on a Friday. The owner said to give...him 30 mins and he’d have a place for us. We literally walked in and sat down as he predicted. If you are in Doolin, you have to make this a place to stop, and tell Frank I say hi!More

We really enjoyed lunch and dinner in the Ivy cottage last year. I was really looking forward to returning. Unfortunately lunch was a little disappointing this time, portion size was small for the price. Presentation of the kids menu was not great.

One of our party was gluten free and he loved this place. The seafood chowder was outstanding. A meal in itself. Service was very efficient and very friendly. In a one week stay, we went to lunch twice at this place. Highly recommend it!

We had a nice romantic dinner outside in their secluded garden area….lush and green with a small creek bordering the seating area. Greeting, service and food was great. Would love to return someday
