Absolutely lovely pub and great scenic setting, despite this i do have one unfortunate complaint. Upon leaving this fine establishment we were amply followed by an overweight and intoxicated American man named Ted. The following altercation really dampened my view of what was otherwise a...picturesque evening. We know where you live Ted Foster, your mother is a muntir.More

We stopped here at this cozy Irish pub with our tour bus for the lunch stop and I have to say it was a pleasant surprise. While the menu options were a bit limited, the food itself was absolutely fantastic. The waitresses were warm and...hospitable, ensuring we felt right at home. The ambiance and location added to the overall charm of the place. The only downside was, that despite the restaurant being aware of our tour group's schedule, our meals took longer than anticipated, arriving just moments before we had to rush off again. Was a shame that we couldn't properly enjoy the food, but overall, it was a memorable and enjoyable lunch.More

They straight up left money on the table by being so bad at service. We would have ordered three more drinks and dessert but no one seemed to remember we were there. Raw oysters took 35 minutes to come out, we were missing a side,...the waiter upsold us on unnecessary sides and then never asked how our meals were. The halibut was amazing. The steak while cooked to temp very well left a lot to be desired for the fat on the edge that had no sear to it. Almost like a prime rib. In a pinch we'd eat there again, but there are better options in town.More

Firstly food was great but having to down grade review due to waitress poor service. After saying that the Thai curry included monkfish and mussels she advised it was in the sauce, it was of course not. Never came back and then had to advise...manger and kindly offered apology and a free desert (thanks). No apology from her.More

Best experience I’ve ever had in Europe! The food is absolutely perfect! Extremely fresh, and very tasty! Kevin, our waiter was exceptional! He put us in the best seat in the pub, so we could watch the live music. The live music was EPIC! 11-14...musicians from all over the world, who played 2+ hours of outstanding music. They sang, they played, it was the best! The soloist ranged from 18-90 years old. I will never be able to create this 100% perfect night again with my wife, but I have the memory, and I hope you’ll get yours! This is a must!More

We (3 golfers on an 8 day golf trip) stopped at Fitz's for a mid day pint and to sample their seafood chowder. We tried different establishment's seafood chowders every day on this trip, and Fritz's was the best. There was something tasty that was...different than the rest. Definitely stop in to enjoy a pint and some chowder!More

OMG what to say. Two exceptionally fun nights had at Fitz's. The chips which I am sure they were sick of cooking, were just delicious! My son had burger and it was lovely. Lovely staff and atmosphere. Great live music too, will certainly be back....Thanks to you all for a terrific weekendMore

I would highly recommend Fitz's Pub in Doolin for Food and Drink right across the board. It is a spacious, beautiful Bar set up, with a Gorgeous Fire place, and it's a very Rare Pub/Bar in the fact that they actually put REAL CANDLES out...on the tables for lighting up time, which creates a beautiful ambience, and is very Romantic at the same time. The Pint of Guinness is Second to none, poured to perfection, and always 100% consistent, and the White wine is Excellent too. They seem to have Great Music in the Pub every night. There is a separate area for eating, where the food served is Excellent, very Fresh and Tasty. The Eating area of Fitz's Pub is Unique, in the fact that the Tables are also very Generously spaced apart which is very refreshing to see - The Polar opposite of the normal "Cram the Punters in like Sardines" approach by many Establishments nowadays. Fitz's really ticks all the Boxes for me, but my main highlight is the Wonderful Staff. Across the board from the people who wash the dishes to all the Bar and Waiting staff, the Staff are all excellent. I have yet to come across a staff member with a downbeat / Negative attitude, Which, for me is also very rare in most establishments nowadays! They really make the place so welcoming, and keep the business functioning to the Optimum level. They are all great Workers, and all seem to have a wonderful balance of Treating the Customer with the Welcome, Respect and Dignity they all deserve, whilst keeping very busy and getting the job done at the same time. I, myself worked in the Trade for many years - years ago, so I have a good sense of what makes a good Bar/waiting Staff Worker facilitate an Establishment to Flourish. Fitz's seems to have really nailed it! I am so impressed by them that I think it would be Remiss of me not to name them individually: Brian, I feel needs special mention. He seems to me to be very Modest and understated, keeps his head down - a great grafter, and absolute Massive assest to the business. From day 1, he has always made my Wife and me feel very welcome, and treated us with great respect and dignity. Unfortunately, Brian is leaving in the very near future after many years of Loyal service, What a loss he will be! I hope Donal and the Management can manage to facilitate him to change that decision. He covers many areas apart from serving food and drink, such as keeping the place very tidy, and keeping the fire going which to me is the Heart of the Pub. Well done Brian, you will be sorely missed by us, and many others I dare say. All the Bar staff and waiting staff including: Kieran, Paul, Chris, Declan, Larry, and Megan are Fantastic, and do a Wonderful Job. The Chefs including PJ, and all the Kitchen staff help produce very tasty fresh food that always goes down very well after a few Jars. Lastly, Sarah K and Yasmin on Reception in the Hotel are for a lot of people the first contact point, and they are absolutely Marvelous at their jobs. They are so Welcoming, and have often facilitated me in booking a table in the bar without any grief. Trust me, it's such a Rarity to have such a Marvelous Work force on board working Seamlessly together to present such a Positive Image of the business across the board. Because there are so many good staff I hope I haven't left anyone out, if I have, my apologies guys, ye are all Brilliant! Lastly, to Donal, Pairnay, Sinead and all the Management and Owners - Very Well done on Recruiting such a great team of Employees, they are all Unique and Excellent. I, hope and presume, ye reward them all very well for their very hard work. In this Very Chaotic, Fast Paced, Survival of the Fittest world we now live in, it is so reassuring and refreshing to know there is an ABSOLUTE SANCTUARY to escape from the Madness for a while. WELL DONE FITZ'S PUB, AND KEEP UP THE EXCELLENT WORK 10 OUT OF 10. P.S - They also have the Doolin Hotel as part of the business, which I believe is a Fabulous place to stay, though I have never had the pleasure because I live not too far from Fitz's Pub/Bar.More

A very lively spot even out of season. We chose this place to eat based on reviews and were pleasantly surprised. There is the original bar with a restaurant extension. In the restaurant it is busy but not too noisy that it spoils conversation or...dinner. The waiting staff are attentive, friendly and quick. The menu has enough but doesn't overwhelm you with choice and the it is reasonably priced. Portions are large and the quality is good. There is also a nice selection of good quality spirits, wine, beer, cider and cocktails.More

Visited Fitzs pub in Hotel Doolin in August and was pleasantly surprised. Expected a pug grub atmosphere but it was so much better. The food was amazing (I had the fish and chips). Service was superb, Larry, Kevin, and Brian were so helpful all evening...and made our experience so much better. Bar was busy after dinner but we did not wait long to be served some delicious pints and the live music was phenomenal!More
