Wonderful pub with all the laid back atmosphere you could want. Good music and a well-poured pint never hurt/

We specifically scheduled our time in Doolin so that we could hear Blackie O'Connell on the pipes. We went to McDermott's on Wednesday night only to learn that Blackie was playing in Canada. What a disappointment! Otherwise, the food and music at McDermott's was pretty...More

We went to a trad session many moons ago but missed it this time. But the atmosphere and food is still terrific.

The service was good and quick, but we found the food lacking in flavour and presentation. The beer (Guinness) was fresh. We also found that the music was not that great. Battled to start with too many breaks.

We stopped in for lunch on our way to the Cliffs of Moher. We found a friendly pub with simple food and good service, a kilometre or so away from the main tourist eating places of Doolin so it still retains some local charm -...More

We visited this pub while in Doolin. We liked it fairly well, but preferred another pub better. The food was good here, as was the music. There aren't many places in Doolin, but this is definitely worth a visit.

We stayed in Doolin for 5 days and ate dinner at McDermott's one night. We had excellent lamb burgers. Very friendly service, nice atmosphere, live music.

Our family of 3 walked right in one day and had a little wait the second night. Didn't notice coach parties, just crowded because of the music.
