Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Dinner in Mc Dermott's is always fresh, tasty and value for money. Great for drinks also and the brilliantmusic sessions. . Patsy and staff are always attentive, friendly and on the ball. We are so lucky to have this gem in the village.

The pub was very busy, but we were seated on the covered patio fairly quickly. Honestly, I can't remember a lot about the food because I was so caught up in the atmosphere. The musicians playing traditional, Irish music, the laughter and conversations of different...groups of people, and the normal clinking of glasses made for an experience that left me feeling as though I were in a movie. Although exhausted from the day, I had a difficult time tearing myself away. It was so nice to hear the music and laughter trickling out into the night as we walked back to our Airbnb just at the top of the hill.More

One of many local establishments worth a visit. If you're an Irish Stew person another great variance of an old family recipe. Definitely worth a stop in!!!

Stopped in here for a pint and a snack one evening. Tried the wings as they were the first restaurant which did not advertise them as "BBQ". Very pleasantly surprised at how good they were. Alas, no ranch on the side though, only blue cheese....But very tasty none the less. Great service too!More

We went for a drink and a bite here and the staff were so friendly and welcoming. The Pub had a lively atmosphere but also spaces for you to sit and have a quiet drink. Would highly recommend to anyone passing through. Chicken wings starter...also epic!More

Great local pub that serves food and has AMAZING traditional Irish Music free of charge! Slight on the edge of town but so worth it. We came after dinner from the nearby Oar House (best restaurant in the area) and loved the music and the...excellent view we had from the bar. Unlike some of these pubs where space is limited, you can actually see the musicians and HEAR the music. All ages were observed singing along to these wonderful old Irish Tunes -- and a guest vocalist or two popped in to do a few songs as well. Beer was good too and no wait to get it. Wish we would've stayed more than one night in Doolin as there is more to see than just those amazing CLIFFS OF MOHER.More

This pub was recommended to us by a Doolin local! What a spot! Cozy warm atmosphere with the best fish n’ chips I ate while in Ireland, some great choices for bar drink, including local whisky, and wow does their live music rock! Definitely dine...here and stay for a bit of live music if you ever find yourself in Doolin!More

I believe so. My son is a vegetarian and opted for three appetizers/sides all of which he enjoyed. I do believe there are vegetarian meal options as well.
