My husband and I ate at McDermott's Pub last week while we were in Doolin and had a wonderful meal! I am not too adventurous when eating so I had fish and chips just about every night for dinner all over Ireland (from Dublin to...Kilkenny to Killarney and a few smaller places in between) and McDermott's was my favorite! The beer in the batter was flavorful without being overpowering. The atmosphere was lively without being too loud, and the service was excellent. Good mix of locals and tourists! Even though this restaurant is on the other side of the bridge, my husband and I had a very nice walk after dinner and was over to the other side of Doolin in no time at all!More

When we arrived at 1900 on a Sunday, all of the sandwich options were sold out, but luckily Irish stew was one of the specials of the day, and was still available. My, was that tasty! My husband enjoyed his special - the open-face prawn...sandwich. We were able to grab a table directly in front of the band, and had a very enjoyable evening, sampling different Irish whiskies. All of the staff were very friendly, and kept up well with delivering and clearing plates/glasses on a busy evening.More

We had friends joining us for dinner on the first night of our week in Doolin so I chose here. It was good....the menu was really paired back and the waiter although pleasant seemed under pressure...Burgers were fabulous, there was no music and it had...a quiet Monday atmosphere. I feel I chose the wrong night to go... pleasant night but bit disappointing overall.More

What a superb place , lovely food , great music and fantastic atmosphere. Probably one of the best Irish Stews I have ever eaten, packed with meat and veg in such a rich and flavour packed broth. Loved it ! The lamb shank was also...awesome.. beautifully cooked and good portion too. Music was the very talented Blackie O Connel. Superb Gunness followed by some great whisky recommendations. Absolutely fantastic night in Doolin.More

In this place we found all we were expecting from our irish trip: an old pub with nice food and beers, traditional music sessions and, most of all, beautiful people that gave our night a special taste. Perfect atmosphere.

Loved eating at McDermott's Pub. Service was great, the setting was fun and the stew was fantastic! They also have live Irish music in the evening.

Nice location in Doolin we only had to walk a few minues from our B&B. Burger very nice. Though the fish looked better! I'm sure all the food is good here. Nice time here.

I believe so. My son is a vegetarian and opted for three appetizers/sides all of which he enjoyed. I do believe there are vegetarian meal options as well.
