It's a really lovely place for good food. The sandwiches are great with a vast array of choices. Warm friendly eat in or take away in the heart of Hale plus outside seating.

After being let down by a local multiple restaurant, my family consisting of my son daughter ,their partners and two grandchildren descended on the Gastronomy for a late lunch. The weather was fine and we occupied the outside tables. Following a warm welcome we enjoyed very good service and good quality ,tasty food. The owner not only prepared a special... More

Superb little Deli and cafe situated in the heart of Hale. Myself and my partner visited early morning for a spot of breakfast and a 'proper' cup of tea as apparently my tea making skills aren't up to scratch ! We had a wonderful breakfast of eggs Benedict along with a tradition pot of leaf tea ..... beautiful Well worth... More

My friend and I visited Gastronomy last weekend for a late lunch. Given that we were in Hale I expected much better, the visit overall was hugely disappointing. The restaurant has outdoor pavement seating and the ground floor is a deli shop, should you wish to dine indoors the restaurant is indoors. Food stops being served at 3pm and we... More

We have been coming to Gastronomy since the cafe opened and have to say that the service, over the last few months, had changed. However, it was lovely to see the new member of staff, Clare, greet us with a smile. The service was excellent and the food as good as always. We visited again today and Claire even remembered... Have visited here before and enjoyed it but the service just doesn't seem to work somehow. Between the acres of menu options written all around the place (no bad thing, but I'm always suspicious of long menus), and a bit of an awkward layout (too small downstairs etc) I've found the service to be sufficient but not exactly warm. Today... More

Popped in here for a quick and quiet lunch. Found the service very good and timely. Paninis good and the coffee very good. Not much room inside downstairs but apparently there's a large upstairs and - of course - space outside, too. Makes a nice change from chain cafes.

Thanks so much for the kind words. We very much appreciate it. You should try upstairs next time, it's the same menu but with much more room to sit and table service. All the best! More

Popped in for lunch whilst visiting Hale on business. Was about 1.40pm average amount of customers in. Took about 20 mins before we were approached for service. I ordered the chicken, egg and avocado sandwich, salad on the side. My good lady went for the spud. After 30 mins our food arrived. To be fair the baked potato looked ok.... More

I attended a tasting of the spectacular Herno Gin (the best that I have ever tasted) and various super fresh summer nibbles. Delightful service and the products like everything I have bought from them before (best cheese counter in the county) were perfect and served with pride.
