Excellent food - options for vegetarians and pescatarians. The appetizers and mains were well seasoned and thoughtfully presented. Numerous wine options! Wonderful ambiance. Very kind, personable and helpful wait staff.

It was like being in lower Manhattan - everyone was American in this restaurant. I think Mallmann has jumped the shark here. Food was good, sommelier was not knowledgeable at all about local wines which at a restaurant like this is unforgivable. Skip it.

We were a party of 6 with kinds and the food was excellent for all of us. Service was very good and the setting in an old winery building is just unmatchable. Fabulous experience overall. Do not miss the octopus as a first course.

Of course we had high expectations coming to Francis Mallman’s restaurant, and despite some of the bad reviews we decided to give it a go. All expectations were met, perfectly! The octopus was the highlight, amazing soft texture with a typical Francis Mallman burnt smokey...More

We were very excited to get a late booking at this renowned restaurant. Oh, how disappointed we were. On arrival no one welcomed us, nor offered us a drink, nor invited us to sit down as we waited for our table. We ordered Pisco Sours...More

Asado doesn't get better than Francis Mallmann at 1884. Everything on the menu is smoky and charred and absolutely delicious.

Beautiful setting but we were a little disappointed with the food. We were a group of six. One had the lamb marinated in wine for so many hours and the presentation was unappealing - meat with a huge mass of mashed potatoes. Not even a...More

It's my third time in Argentina and this place has the best service I've ever had in this country. Food is AMAZING and very well complemented with wine offered by the house sommelier.

Yes it’s common to start dinner around 10 pm. But this location closes at midnight so an 8-9 pm reservation is adequate.

8pm is fine. Beat the rush, get better attention, have the opportunity to walk around without so many people. Definitely go with a reservation!

Casual. Anyway, try to avoid trainers and that sort of clothing, people in Mendoza are rather conservative and they place deserves better.
