Handmade Wood-Fired Sourdough Pizzeria in the secret garden behind Patsy Dan's bar. About us: Why Sourdough - The long leavening process and use of only organic stoneground flour, water and a bit of salt in production makes it digestible, nutritious and tasty. Join the sourdough revolution. Big up to Ben Mackinnon of E5Bakehouse in Hackney who started us on this path to sourdough enlightenment in exchange for wind, waves, power cuts and whisky in a wintery Donegal. Why Dunfanaghy - We like to get outside and there is no better place than Co. Donegal! We have created somewhere we want to work and hang out. Big thanks to everyone in Patsy Dan's Bar, especially the Devine family, for all their help and continued support. Who - An eclectic crew of artists, horse riders and surfers are putting in the required hours to bring hand-mixed sourdough to your table. Enjoy. Mainly walk ins but we do take some bookings for larger groups by e-mail / Facebook pm.

Just what everyone else has said already. Spectacular pizzas, lovely friendly atmosphere and I am sure during the summer it is wonderful to eat outside. In the winter there is a lovely cosy fire and the place is buzzing.
Have had some great pizzas but very sadly our pizza over the Halloween break 2018 was extremely disappointing... I suspect tomato sauce and cheese were in short supply and been used extremely thinly .... also extremely burnt around the edges leaving substantial amount of pizza...More
The Rusty Oven is my favourite dining spot in Dunfanaghy; cool and quirky, with the best pizza's in Donegal. The Truffle Shuffle pizza is my personal favourite. Always friendly service, and delicious food; couldn't ask for anything more!
This wonderful pizza restaurant attached to Patsy Dan's Pun in Dunfanaghy is fantastic. Lovely thin sourdough bases and some of the most imaginative toppings we have tasted. More than ample menu, small but delightful wine selection and great, relaxed and friendly service. I sent a...More
Small selection of pizzas but great variety, with the exception of a good vegetarian option. Excellent service, although very busy, we got lucky with a table, we were served in 20 minutes. The garlic pizza bread was very nice but almost too much, especially if...More

I've visited this pizzeria several times, never disappointed. It has an open kitchen with oven in the corner, staff preparing the pizzas right there. Some pizzas on the menu were quite unusual but very tasty. Vegetarian options were good. Casual decor, with seating outdoors, under...More

They do gorgeous wines of their own, far better than in any Irish pub. Cant remember if there's a Chardonnay as I am a red girl myself but they are bound to have one or something similar. There is seating outside both covered and uncovered, and also inside an eclectically converted barn. There are seats for about 25 people inside and on a cold day they put a fire on. You can book for tables of 8 or more.
Hope this helps.
