Have had 3 birthday cakes made by Natasha and have LOVED all of them. Had 3 different options off the menu today because the options were so amazing! Loved each dish equally. Vegan or not, this food is to die for! The oat milk cappuccinos...alone are worth travelling for! Natasha the owner has a huge personality, which we loved. She’s very likeable and creates a fun environment. Staff are all so accommodating and helpful. I will return here over and over again. One of the nicest cafes I’ve ever eaten in. A hidden gem!More

This is as authentic as it gets. Walking into this eatery you immediately feel at home. The owner has a big personality which adds to the experience, like you're eating great food in your wild Aunt's cottage kitchen. Great food and lovely atmosphere

I visited The Eating House about three times now and every time it seems to get better. I am vegan but my boyfriend is a huge meat and dairy eater and this place is his absolute favorite! We had two cappuccinos as well as two...kebab platters and they were crazy good!( All in compostable containers which is EVEN BETTER) Not only is the food amazing the cakes as well as the coffee never fails *chefs kiss* The team have put in great effort to still provide excellent fresh food to the public and still adhering to government guidelines. On arrival there is a sanitation station at the front door with a bin provided to dispose of any contaminated tissue paper as well as markings along the floor to ensure customers are social distancing. I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking to the owner Natasha who was so accommodating & friendly. Myself & my boyfriend arrived near to the kitchen closing time and Natasha still made sure that we were well looked after. Both our take away coffee & kebab platter boxes were in 100% compostable containers as well as our pitas were in compostable paper, all in a paper bag. Putting a lot of thought and money into making sure all waste is recyclable and compostable is really what makes a difference when eating out. I could not recommend The Eating House enough! It’s in a gorgeous spot in Blessington. It has an amazing atmosphere with amazing staff and even better food.More

I’ve frequented here three times now, each experience entirely different. My first visit was actually just before they officially opened (I’m told this is called a ‘soft opening’) and while the food was delectable, I could tell service staff were under pressure and they had...not anticipated how busy the initial days would be. I had a sloppy joe burger and chips; very delicious. My second visit was very different; staff were efficient and food was, once again, top notch. I had soup and a sandwich this time; very hearty and delicious. My third visit more recent; due to COVID restrictions it’s takeaway-only so I grabbed an oat latte and the pain au chocolate after much deliberation over the broad (borderline overwhelming) selection of vegan goodies. Best pastry I’ve ever had. Coffee as always, a winner. I’ve noticed some reviews complaining about the packaging used by this establishment; I for one hugely appreciate the efforts they go to to provide their food in sustainable packaging. The coffee cups and lids are compostable and the paper they wrap the pastries in is also compostable. It really irks me that the bigger franchises are still using plastic when the independent guys are making huge efforts re sustainability. Anyway that’s an argument for another day. All that to say, highly recommend The Eating House for delicious plant-based fare; hearty, big portions, lovely staff and a gorgeous setting. Can’t WAIT to go back for sit-in grub when restrictions are lifted.More

We gave this a third chance or visit before writing a review hoping we will have a different experience. We always get disappointed. Food are not warmth or kept warm. Served in flimsy container box and overpriced. Such a pity that is the only vegan...place in the area. Owner doesnt care about customers at all and complain every chance she gets. She has to work on her manners. People are in restrictions and we want to have a good atmosphere on the limitef chance to go outside. Avoid dining in here.More

Our experience as a family 👪 inside the eating house was not so good. My husband is a meat lover and to bring him to a vegan cafe is a big NO. But I had high hopes so does my daughter as it looks good...outside and the inside. The atmosphere was inviting but unfortunately Covid 19 protocol was not observed properly by staff and owner was not a good example either. She came out from the kitchen without any mask or face shield and took over from a staff and forgotten to serve my husband's order. We weren't given any receipt so we don't know if it was completely deleted from the order or they just forgot. At this stage we didn't bother asking because they wouldn't be able to serve us our tea only if I hadn't asked for it. Was asked for our order to be heated up but it was brought to us served on a thin grease proof paper. I am an environment enthusiast but to put my order in a grease proof paper was poor in my opinion. Did they ran out of little plates 🍽 😳 or just don't want to wash the dishes?? My daughter loves pancakes and when we checked the online menu it was there but they pancake was unfortunately taken down from the new menu. She was so disappointed and was looking forward to it. Her disappointment was followed by the hot chocolate that didn't have marshmallows and cream on top. She only had a taste then gave it to me. The only nice thing we had from there that we devoured was the generous amount of chips from the kids menu, the tea and the chocolate filled pastry. The owner was so rude giving out to her staff about certain things 🙄 😒 in the counter while we were eating. The staff didn't reply back and never made any comment when she left but I can see how frustrated they were trying to please her. Sad to say that was our first and last visit.More
