We had the opportunity to stay in the rental houses for a week. We ate in the restaurant on three occasions. The food was good but the service was amazing.( Margaret) was our waitress she was amazing. The vies are from a view of heaven...if this is what you expect heaven to look like. Well worth the visit.More
We spent a lovely evening at Il Lago. The weather was great and the views over the lake were fantastic. One of us had the vegetarian option which was really enjoyable. The others had the meat options and again found it very tasty. The staff...were very helpful and friendly . There is also the opportunity to eat outside on the covered balcony area which allows for panoramic views of the lake and mountains.More
With only one option available for non meat-eaters, I was forced to order the pumpkin tagine. When i arrived it was luke warm, not very well spiced and was served with cheap white rice, not cous cous as you would expect for a Morroccan tagine....Not great at all. My partner had sea-food chowder and he seemed to like it but he has had better.
It's a shame the food isn't good, as I think the place might attract more custom. The views are beautiful, so a lot more could be done here to make it a go-to venue.More
I took my two adult children to eat in II Lago in September.
The service was not just bad but the waitress lacked social skills, there was no wine list & the room was dark & dreary.
I ordered a steak sandwich. When it arrived,...it consisted of 2 white slice's of bread with a piece of beef (from a roast) between the slices. There was no dressing of any kind on it. I could not believe what i was experiencing.
My daughter had pork, it arrived with cooked celery & other overcooked veg.
My son had turkey & ham, which was not very nice either but was the safest bet.
The entire meal cost €79,was robbery to say the least.
We will not be going anywhere near this place again.More
