We first visited Poachers Inn because it was a convenient stop on the road to west Cork. The food was always excellent, so much so that it has now become a destination for dinner. There is a focus on seafood (though the steak always looks...More

Agree with all the recent reviews, Poachers used to be ahead of the game and a reliable place to stop for a tasty dinner. Last Friday evening however, the food was only okay, considering the price and the lead this place once had. The food...More

I found this visit really disappointing. I was surprised by the prices of main meals all being 23 euros with the exception of the chicken which was 19. We live in London and these prices beat many restaurants in central. Having said that, we are...More

I had lunch and thought that it was good value for what I got. My husband had hake and chowder for 24 euro and I had 3 courses for 29 euro. The portions were great and the food was delicious
