Poachers is a well know 'gastro pub' in Bandon. We visited there last Sunday, party of 8 including a toddler & a baby. It was my first time upstairs in what is signposted the 'Cookery School'. It was very pleasant & bright atmosphere. In fact...More

The biggest difficulty in dining in this restaurant is the decision as to what to choose off a fabulous menu. Every dish is presented as a mouthwatering option and the food, when it comes, lives up to the promise of the description. This is one...More

We were a large group, on a Saturday lunchtime, high tourist season. Very few in the restaurant, and those who were, were very inconsiderately loud. We had trouble immediately as Poachers doesn't really cater for vegetarians (no mind vegans). Therefore, those who had wanted to...More

I revisited the Poachers with friends, for an evening meal. The choice of mains was very good and we all ate seafood dishes, which were delicious. Desserts were very interesting and tasty.

I had lunch and thought that it was good value for what I got. My husband had hake and chowder for 24 euro and I had 3 courses for 29 euro. The portions were great and the food was delicious
