I decided to have a coffee and cake here one day - while standing waiting to get served the staff were engaged with conversations with other customers - These customers were sitting at the counter having coffee and the staff/owner glanced over to me a number of times as if to say I'm busy with my regulars and you are... Great coffee and interesting books and cooking utensils for sale. Nice location by the river. Had coffee and a Danish pastry both of which were really excellent.

whilst shopping around bandon , had coffee and some pretty decent lunch here. it is a mix between a gastro shop with cookbooks, utensils, wines and all and a caffe, they were really nice and they have a nice big table where everybody just joins in.. would recommend

It is with huge curiosity I wonder why the proprietor of this establishment is so determined to make customers run in the opposite direction! It is quite hilarious! I have tried many times and will not return.

The shop has good if overpriced wares. The food is ok and the coffee is poor. It's the vitriol of the owner that disappoints most. There is no hello, lots of glaring and a sense that you are profoundly unwelcome. The only hope for this business if it develops a notoriety for this inexcusable behaviour.

Ruth Healy has found the right recipe with her shop on the quays in Bandon. We had beautiful carrot and caraway seed soup with freshly baked spelt bread and there is a fabulous deli counter. We stop here every August to stock up on dried fruit for our Christmas puddings. Highly recommended.

This cafe never has any dairy alternative like soy or almond milk. I've gone in craving a cappuccino or hot chocolate and end up drinking a black tea. Also no food options for vegans.

I have been to this establishment a number of times and after my encounter today, I will not return. This is an example of just one of the number of bad experiences I've had there. I asked if i could taste some cheese- which she replied..why.. are you worried it will poison you?! She let me taste two out of... More

It is pretty good, healthy, natural-ish food, but the prices you pay don't match the quality of the food or the service. The service could be a tad less begrudging.

Why is coffee so expensive in Bandon???? I recently purchased an espresso in Urru and asked the waitress for a little warm milk. She asked me for an extra 50 cent for the milk. Needless to say I told her to keep it. I would say over the years I was a reasonably good customer especially coming up to special... More
