Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If I could give this review 1000 out of 10, I would. From the initial conversation with Teresa, who was a pleasure to talk to regarding my initial enquiry for booking a birthday dinner for my mom. Thank you to Sharon for taking my booking,...personalising the menu, accommodating special dietary requirements, nothing was a problem. To Angela for your warm welcome and ensuring my mom was surprised by all the family. The food was beautiful, the staff efficient and friendly and the setting was a wonderful trip down memory lane for my mom. Thank you all for making it so special. We had a wonderful family evening and she really enjoyed herself.More

Nice bar but gin too expensive stick to beer. They do nice hot alcoholic drinks. I recommend the Baileys Irish cream coffee. There is a see through glass floor in one area that catches everyone out as the walk towards it.

We've been dining in dirty Nellie's for past 20 years and we're never disappointed until today. We both opted for the fish and chips which were on the expensive side costing 17.95 euro.We were both very very disappointed with the fish. It was inedible.i don't know...what kind of fish was used it definitely wasn't cod or even Pollock. It was terrible , my husband fishes regularly and he maintained it was dogfish. It was rank. We left leaving most of the fish on the plate. We won't be returning any time soon.More

Hi was at your restaurant on New Year’s Day made a booking for 8 pm for six people nothing to say about the food it was exceptional and drinks it’s just regarding the staff there was just one lady there I think it was the...manager not so sure she was terribly rude as when I went outside to have a cigarette I came back in as it was a little cold I went to to stand by the fire she said you’re not allowed to do that you its the rules that was one reason also there was some music playing we wanted to stay longer as it was New Year day we want to celebrate she told us that we had to pay our bill and leave right away which I thought was very disrespectful as we came for a night out when we arrived at the restaurant I asked if they were playing music later they said yes we wanted to stay longer she told us that it’s only for locals Who can stay longer which I thought was very disrespectful as this is a very well known restaurant and pub all over the world which is a public house not just for locals it absolutely ruined our whole New Year wouldn’t wish it on anyone so I wasn’t happy with my service we refused to pay the bill because of this circumstance it was absolutely disgraceful what this lady have done we were absolutely devastated New Year’s Day is a time for enjoyment in such a lovely restaurant which I’ve been so many times before I think it’s due to management as before we were more than welcome lovely greetings lovely staff terrible hospitality especially on New Year’s Day 😞☹️More

We walked in and it was unclear where to go for food/restaurant. Some locals were drinking beer at a small bar by the door. An employee walked out and propped the door open because the wood stove was very Smokey but never acknowledged us. Finally...someone asked to help us, showed us to a table and never came back. The table was next to said Smokey wood burning stove which started smoking excessively again. No one ever came to take our order so we left still hungry and smelling like smoke.More
