Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely dreadful reheated fish and chips - such a shame when you are supposed sold “fresh” food. The chips resembled flaky rocks and the fish - well don’t go there. My partner got a snack box which was the same - the chicken was drier...than the Sahara. It went in the bin at Boots. The one positive about the place was the guy who served us. Excellent customer rapport. The food is sadly appalling . I won’t accept the good weather as an excuse as we were the only ones in the place at the time we went. Not fair to rip people and paying customers off like this.More

Food was good when we previously ordered inside. Our second time in Tramore we ordered for delivery. Food was cold took an hr and a half to arrive and it was not edible. Not able to get through to them via phone as it rang...out all night. Food was lovely when ordered in person the 1st time in Tramore but not on delivery on this occasion.More

Really enjoyed my battered sausage meal today and hubby loved his catch of the day meal. Really crisp batter and perfectly cooked chips.

We visited the one on the promenade yesterday. No major queue. The food I received, I am sorry to say, you would not give to a dog. It was the worst takeaway I have ever got. Chips seem to have been reheated, the batter on...the fish was like glue, chicken nuggets dry and left me short. Between my sister-in-law and myself we paid €100. If this is the standard of food Dooley's is serving to the public, Shame on you!More

We've just had a delightful time on the beach watching people surfing and learning to surf. We will definitely give this ago the next time we are in the area. We went to Moe's Cafe and had a coffee and met a nice family from...Tramore who insisted we try fish and chips from Doolys Chipper when we asked for recommendations for somewhere to eat, DOOLY'S AMAZINGLY FRESH. We sat at the prom and watch the sun set as a background to the sea while eating the best battered fish ever. So glad we didn't eat in a restaurant tonight. The staff at Doolys were lovely and helpful and i have no idea how they keep those white shirts so clean. All-round brilliant day here in Tramore.More

This place is an absolute disgrace! If I was the owner I'd be embarrassed to serve such bad quality food to customers. No, not bad, terrible! Anaemic looking chips. Batter wasn't cooked enough - soggy and full of grease. Battered sausages were cocktail sausage size!?...Fish was soggy, tasteless and the portion sizes were also tiny! In a seaside town it would be so lovely to have a decent chippy. Dooly's had a great reputation at one time, but not anymore unfortunately, now it rips off its customers with bin worthy food. Had to select 1 star to submit this review, but it's zero stars from me/my family!More

Started ordering from dooleys Park Rd a few years ago. Was very good in the beginning . Lovely fish and chips. Quality has been very bad for a while now. We kept ordering from them giving them the benefit of the doubt. We've finally given...up. Our last order cost over 37e. 3 fish and chips I plain burger and chip. The fish was small and mainly batter. Chips were a mixture of overdone and very under done. No more. I don't know if there's new management or what. The standard is very poor. JoanMore

I also do not know have Dooley"s a gluten free option available , so to be sure of this availability you should look for this option when ordering or try somewhere else.
