Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

No complaints about the food or service. Cozy pub with a friendly atmosphere. Nice evening out would return again if ever in Tramore.

Horrible filthy place, rip off food, absolute fortune to eat in raglan road, the food isn’t horrendous but the prices are shocking and the presentation is appalling, wow. Sorry I didn’t take some pics. The guy working there had a smoke standing at the main...door which he left open for us to inhale his dirty smoke. Will never be back here, how oh how is this allowed. Rip off Irish at its best.More

Oh my God, what a place. Characterful pub, awesome staff, friendly, fun, attentive. Food was absolutely delicious, portions huge, nothing was too much for the staff. Went back the second night;- treated like a regular. Left absolutely stuffed, same quality. Thank you for being this...place, open a second one in my home town, please. The best quality food and menu we experienced in our Irish travels. Awesome whisky, too 🤩👍More

The food here was good, but it took almost 2 hours to get it from the time we walked in the door. Service was horrendous. I truly don’t understand why it took so long yo order and receive our meal as we were not given...any explanation. And it didn’t seem busy at 7PM on a Thursday night.More

Dropped in for lunch after a nice walk along the Doneraile. Lots of good reviews, so thought it was a safe bet. Had the prawn dish (€15). Nine battered prawns arranged around a flattened out spoon of rice, served on a fish shaped glass plate....Very 1970s! This might just about make a half decent starter. My mistake for believing the reviews. I headed on down to Doolys for fish and chips. I won't be back.More

Went for dinner here, service from when we stepped in the door was shocking. Asked for the child changing facilities, to be shown the toilet where there was no changing table or ant facilities to change a baby. . No hand wash. Felt rushed to...order, asked for high chair and the bar man just walked away, he came back with a hight chair with no top. Waited nearly 30 mins for food even though we were the only ones there. Food was shocking, sour mash which was for my 2 year old. I got bolognsise which was the size of a child's dinner. Burnt round the edges like it was heated to long ,garlic bread soaked in oil. Shocking food. husbands food was no better. Will never return.More

We arrived on spec on a busy BH Saturday night but the professional manager and staff still managed to accommodate us! 🙂 The place was heaving and I can see why. Quirky decor, excellent staff and really great value is what you will experience here....We were shown into a lovely bar with menus while we waited. Lovely fire lit the space and a drink was in hand quickly while we chose from a comprehensive menu. Lots of fish and meat options to the fore but you’ll find lovely alternatives too, the menu runs to 3 pages of mains! Once seated the buzz of a busy room was nice, although we were offered a quieter alcove space if we wanted that. He has lots of more private spaces due to the design of the premises but you will encounter steps. Food arrived and portions were generous and the standard excellent. If it’s a couples night, you won’t be disappointed! If it’s a group, the larger space gives a great buzz. If it’s a group with members who can’t manage steps then book a table at the front. Overall we were well impressed, the quality of the ingredients were allowed to shine and it was excellent value too. Highly recommended when here in the south east!More

Great restaurant. We had the sirloin steak which was excellent and the portions were generous to say the least. Everything on the plate was cooked well. Staff were attentive and efficient, with a rich seam of good old Irish humour Recommended

Out for day drive from Wexford on good Friday, seen this place on tripadvisor with good reviews......so I thought we couldn't go wrong....big mistake. I don't know who's been putting up the reviews but the food here is very disappointing to say the least. I...got the "prawns" the menu says they're crispy with a nut coating, more like frozen scampi out of a bag! When I took off the batter there was hardly any prawn inside. The menu also said it came with rice, it was served on a plate which had teaspoon size sections for the "prawns" to fit in, under the prawns there was garlic butter with the rice sitting in (about 10 grains). My husband had the pepper chicken which was dry, when I went to pay and the lady asked me how the prawns were I told her the above, she said oh you should have asked for more rice, no mention of the prawns, no apology or discount 😒 Definitely wouldn't be recommending or going back!More
