Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

If I could rate this place 12 stars out of 5 I would. The place is so beautifully designed with home furnishings, gifts, and jewelry which we shopped for friends back home in America. As if this selection wasn’t impressive enough, the food we had...at the end of our shopping spree was to die for! I had the sweet and sour wok with shrimp- it was so delicious that I ordered an extra to take on the road for later. This place has something for everyone- bagels, salads, sandwiches, toasts, woks, and so much more I can’t even remember it all. I couldn’t recommend this place more for tourists and locals alike. Oh and don’t even get me started on their kinder bueno cheesecake!!! The staff were friendly, place clean and organized. Couldn’t have had a better meal of experience around. Don’t ask questions- just go to chapter 1!!!!More

The food was delicious! Started with the cream of veggie soup with homemade brown bread which was out of this world. The Caesar salad was a great portion and was presented beautifully. Everyone in our party was pleased with their meals. The shop has great...local products, with very nice rotating displays depending on the season. This is a great place to buy gifts for family members, friends, teachers, etc. The place was very busy but we were seated quickly and the staff were both kind and very attentive. We didn’t wait long for the food and tasted the desserts to finish it off, so tasty! Very clean and spacious. Plenty of parking out front which is a plus. Will definitely be returning, and highly recommend this place!More

Myself my wife and 3 year old went for breakfast. The premises is very nice and the staff super attentive but we thought the food was average. We ordered a veggie breakfast, skinny breakfast and sausages, mushrooms and chips for our 3 year old. The...sausages on all 3 dishes lacked taste and on the veggie breakfast tasted like cardboard. The bread on the veggie breakfast was some sort of an attempt at brioche but was just not nice bread. The guacamole had way too much lemon in it. The mushrooms and chips were ok. We didn’t finish most of the food. The quality of the ingredients just appears poor to me. There was lots of it but just not tasty. The place is very busy so obviously people like it. But for 40 euros just not good enough. Maybe a little less on the plate and better quality would be better.More

Stumbled upon this restaurant whilst visiting Cavan. Beautiful interior decor, lovely ambience. We had lunch followed by dessert. Both were well presented, great quality ingredients. I must say, the waiters/waitresses were exceptional, very well mannered & made you feel at home. I spoke to the...owner, Miriam, to commend her business & her amazing staff. Miriam was very hands on with the business & took great pride in her work. We will definitely be revisiting this gem !More

I think the standards have dropped. Overpriced and overrated for what we were served. We ordered the Lone Ranger and Cajun Chicken Bagel. The food arrived poorly displayed - on small plates, no side salads or sauces. My bagel had plain chicken which is not...what I ordered. I asked for coleslaw to add some taste and was informed that there was none. This has happened on quite a few occasions lately. The ordering system is frustrating. The till is located to far behind the counter, maybe orders are been heard incorrectly and no receipt is given so you cant check the order. I don't think you should have to pay for food beforehand. You should be seated at tables, orders taken when seated and paid for at the end.More

Fabulous food and shop. Wait staff couldn’t be nicer or more helpful!! Beautiful wines. I just found it a tad stressful ordering food when you can’t be 100% sure you are going to get a table. Very busy.

A lovely lady (from Arva- I think) went above & beyond for me today. I had googled graze box cavan & chapter one came up. I didn't realise they were special order, but this lady got one made up especially, helped me pick a cake...for a birthday & stored all in a fridge while I ran other errands. The place was busy, she had loads to be at but did all of this with a smile on her face! All the staff are always very pleasant & helpful on the many times I've visited but this really made my day, & as for the food.. delicious as always!More

Clean, pleasant atmosphere, plenty of attentive staff with good attitudes. Especially when I discussed the dish after breakfast. Very few restaurants offer my favourite breakfast dish so when I heard Chapter One did, I came to try it! My favourite? Eggs Benedict! Deconstructing the main...dish a bit, there seems to be an attempt at updating using "artisan" bread for toast among some restaurants, here was sourdough bread. It was tough to cut all the way through the dish. Stick with the classic English muffin please!! The bacon was very nicely flavoured but, like the bread, a bit tough to cut. The eggs were eggscellant!! The crowning touch to any such dish should be the Hollandaise sauce. Sadly it wasn't even approaching it! The sauce as watery, bland and precious little of it. Would I come here again? Very unlikely sadly.More

A group of five stopped in for breakfast. We all ended up ordering the full breakfast and it was faultless. Loved every bite. The coffee was really good too. Staff were welcoming and attentive, and happy to accommodate our party of 5. The Cafe is...housed at the back of a store, so we also managed to get some shopping in. Perfect Saturday morning! We loved our visit and would highly recommend to others.More

Called into this establishment today to get some takeaway sandwiches. There was an older lady in front of me deciding what to order and taking some time but very apologetic for holding me up. She finally placed an order and moved away to wait. The...2 staff at the till started making rude comments about her in front of me and trying to engage me as if to join in. So unprofessional! I then ordered my 2 sandwiches. One was a kids ham sandwich. The bill came to €13. The one I wanted was €7.95 so the cost of the kids one was €5!!?! I quickly queried this and she said ok €10! Was she going to over charge me if I had simply paid or did she just make up this price off the top of her head? Who knows. I paid and moved aside to wait. After 15 mins I asked was it ready. She said 2 mins. Again after 10 mins I said I'm still waiting and again 2 mins. My husband, who was waiting in the car outside came in to see where I was and she ran into the back and appeared with the bag. Anyway when we finally opened the sandwiches we actually both laughed out loud. Processed fatty ham from a supermarket and not very fresh sliced pan bread. Not the sourdough bread they advertised. It's a no from me.More
