The good is that the staff are lovely, attentive and not burdensome. Drinks are pretty good too and not too pricey. The bad part is the food, mediocre to say the least. Wife had fish & chips which were just okay. Hard to mess that...up in Ireland. The mushy peas should probably not be on there, pretty poor and didn’t seem too fresh. I had the southern fried chicken burger - it was awful, way too salty and the so called crispy bacon was bordering on raw. I actually deconstructed it and just ate the chicken without the batter. Server did apologize, but having something so bad and undercooked should have been elevated to the manager. But nothing further was said. Decided just to pay and leave. Honestly was looking forward to trying one of the top 5 places to eat in Cavan, but was left very underwhelmed. Would not recommend at all.More

We had dinner at The Peoples Restaurant in Cavan and it was a wonderful experience. The staff were marvellous, welcoming and friendly and very helpful. The food was to die for, absolutely georgous and the ambiance of the restaurant was lovely. I am ceoliac and...there was lots of choices for me. My sister is ill at present and they gave her exactly the meal she asked for and she enjoyed every bit. After our meal we went next door and had some coctails!! Fabolous. What a fabolous night on our break to Cavan. I would go back there and would recommend it to anyone.More

Delicious food, service top class, would highly recommend. However, when I ordered sparkling water and a dash of lime, I was charged €1 extra (on top of the sparkling water) for the dash of lime, I thought that was just a bit much!

Myself and my wife had the early bird. There was a good selection, the service was prompt without being rushed and the food was devine

I rate this restaurant 5/5 for the service, food and price. They served the nicest cocktails the black pudding croquettes and korean chicken were simply delicious and the team there were friendly and professional.

Peoples Restaurant thoroughly exceeded our (high ) expectations. Our host Jamie even came out to the car park to help us park. The service was faultless, the food delicious. Slightly odd ambience (bit dark), but spacious. Very friendly and efficient staff. Sensibly short but interesting menu. Food was excellent. Very reasonable prices.

We came here with our family for lunch we got excellent service from the wonderful staff, tje food was delicious,the main course were very big portions, they make fantastic cocktails with and without alcohol and we really enjoyed .Thank you for great service and delicious...food!
