Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The food is pretty fantastic. I ordered the pan fried black Sole on the bone served with a burre blanc sauce, steamed mussels and butter poached shrimps. This was served with steamed veg and was simply outstanding. My wife ordered the breaded chicken dish stuffed...with traditional white pudding, cream cheese and Parmesan. The taste was soft and delicate, perfectly cooked with a lovely crisp from the coating. Clever cooking and absolutely delicious. Excellent staff, observant and attentive. Not possible to find any faults with anything. Good value, interesting menu with regular specials. Well worth traveling to. I forgot to take any photos but I will the next time I am there.More

The food here was fantastic, the staff really friendly. Can't fault the pub but the campsite was a disappointment. As previous review says the showers were so basic with concrete floors, no sink within the toilet cubical. Accepting the fact we chose a pub campsite,...we were very unhappy with music being playing til gone 2am to them have the next hour with campers returning from the pub with no attempt to be quiet. Worst night sleep I've ever had. Lucky the food and the staff were really good. Pub 10/10 but do not camp here !More

Outstanding two evenings at the Pipers this week while on holiday in the region. High quality produce, well cooked and fantastic service. The lady who runs the place really looked after us. Will be back

Stayed on the campsite and have to say the facilities are dirty and disgraceful the showers are not even tiled it’s just bare concrete floors and filthy and the toilets are much the same. The pitches are not barely long enough so much so when...you want to open the rear doors you are up in the hedge and most of the electrical points are just lying on the muddy ground. There is no hard standing sections the whole site is just muddy grass. The pub restaurant to the front of the site looks lovely and clean and seems busy but to call the this a campsite is a bit of a stretch.More

Stunning location and venue. Staff were super friendly and efficient..and food was fabulous. I had been told many times to come here and it lived up to its reputation. We had wings...the bunburger and steak..all of it was perfectly cooked. I will be back.

After reading some reviews after we booked I was a little apprehensive about what I was about to encounter……Happy to report,we were given a great welcome by a very pleasant owner. After informing her that our camping unit was very big I was given my choice...on how to set up and nothing seemed a problem to them. The site itself is small, basic but clean, tidy and more than sufficient. Went to sample dinner at the restaurant which was fully booked but the owner again being so accommodating made room for us (on a Sunday)which was amazing giving that there was 7 of us.The meal was fantastic. There may be negative reviews on here but I found absolutely nothing to be negative about…good prices, great service and a warm welcome A+ Well done to the owners and staff We will most definitely be back Kind regards John & Lisa Shannon Co,ClareMore

My family and I had an amazing time at this restaurant and we spent a weekend camping adjacent to the restaurant. The food in the pipers inn was delicious and the staff were very obliging and helpful. I couldn't recommend the campsite enough also ,it...was equipped with everything, hot water showers, lovely sites to pitch the tents, great lighting and lovely people. The manager of the pipers inn, a lovely lady helped me on several occasions such as providing me with barbeque sticks for roasting marshmallows ,to allowing me to blowdry my hair in her hall. They could not do enough for us to make our weekend a brilliant one. Its great to see that there are great staff and managers out there.More

My wife and I visited for dinner. Very busy and all tables full, but Inez, the manager, joyfully welcomed us at the bar, and served us throughout the evening. We were lucky to have her…so warm, charming, fun, hard-working, attentive. She was the highlight of...our experience. Just the type of evening we hoped for. Great casual atmosphere, with a nice outdoor pario where we watched the sunset while having cocktails.More

Always loved this restaurant , but what a let down when we called on Saturday 13 May. Was very quiet and we sat outside. We had 3 dogs for company at our table( Not ours)! Ordered the battered fish and burger. My husband sent back...his raw fish. Rocket leaves with no dressing, chips dripping with oil. Burger was ok but not the rest of the dish. Fatty undercooked rasher, soggy chips and dry salad leaves. Was the worst food we have had in a very long time. No apology of course from anyone. Nice barman and young girl who took our order. We are a couple in our late 60’s and after having a drink in the outside area, we went inside to have lunch. There was plenty of empty tables and I went to the counter enquiring if any tables were available. I was asked “did...you book a table?” When I replied “no”, Inese curtly barked “ we have no tables” (she didn’t even suggest about a later time!) I then quietly suggested that a reserved sign could be put on the empty tables (to indicate that they’re unavailable). Immediately, Inese roared at me “you are being arrogant”. When she then went into the bar area, I approached the counter and calmly told her I was not being arrogant, only suggesting about the reserved sign on the tables. I told her that her attitude to me was appalling and that we will NEVER again return to the Pipers Inn. In over 40 years, we have NEVER experienced such rudeness and ignorance. We subsequently went to the Killaloe Hotel where both the food & service were excellent.More

This place is a hidden gem. Staff were lovely, attentive but not intrusive. Highly recommend the chowder and calamari. We had duck and hake for mains. Beautifully presented and tasted even better. We were full but managed to share a sticky toffee pudding, it was...homemade and hands down the best sticky toffee i’ve ever had. Can’t wait to go back and try more of the menu.More
