Called in at 3.40 on Saturday of last weekend. The sign said opening hours 9 till 4. I went to the counter and was told straight away, that the kitchen was closed. We ordered a pot of tea and sat down, after a few minutes a I asked was there any chance of a simple cheese sandwich, and again told... More

Only spot in Killaloe to go for breakfast. Good variety to choose from but nearly always have the full breakfast as it's extremely tasty. Its a lovely cosy spot. The 1st thing that will catch your eye is all the fresh baked goods. Always get fantastic service. Never had a bad meal there and consistency like that is hard to... More

My wife and I called to this Bistro by chance while passing through Killaloe. The staff were friendly, the menu was excellent and the surroundings were so comfortable that it was hard to leave. The daily paper was available to read for all the customers. It had a very relaxed atmosphere and when the food was served it was delicious.... More

We dropped in here on a visit to Killaloe and for coffee and a rest after climbing the hill from the riverside. We were made very welcome and the coffee and cakes were very welcome. They had gluten free cakes on offer if you have a problem with wheat (my daughter does)

Deceptively large café. Delicious burgers which are worth the wait. The owners were nice guys and welcoming of families. Kids had toasted sandwiches and the bill was adjusted downward very reasonably to address the kids meals. The toasties had lovely home cooked ham and what I think was Swiss cheese, either way the kids loved them.

We had a lovely Sunday brunch as the culmination of a family week end celebration . Ten of the 14 of us were not from Ireland. The Bistro set up a separate room for our noisy group and were very attentive and patient with some of our special requests--even the fussy vegetarians. Great portions and value. Whenever I visit, we... More

We enjoyed a cozy family lunch here last week - everything was delicious from the soup of the day to the burger and chips. Staff were friendly and helpful and the atmosphere was warm and pleasant. If passing it is worth eating here.
