I eat here any time that I am in Letterkenny. The staff are friendly and the choice of food is good. Every time I eat here I have the same gripe……the food isn’t hot. The wedges which are tasty are always verging on cold. The...food is stored under heating lights, maybe invest in a new system (I understand that it’s a stressful and struggle for businesses that managed to survive the pandemic, so this might not be an option, alternatively, just stick it in the microwave). Fix this problem and next time I will give 5 stars,More

Being a vegan for 10 years or so, and having travelled the world a lot experiencing such cuisine, I can say that this cafe is up there with the very best. A long enough menu, the contents of which you probably hasn't encountered or tasted...before. Pricing and service are excellent. The only downside is that it needs more indoor dining space, especially with the winter approaching.More

The people are friendly and attentive but I don't think the chef has a full grasp on what flavours work. I ate here twice; because I was in a position while travelling around - this was my only local vegan-friendly place. I honestly think if...they tasted the food and thought about what they were doing - they wouldn't send it out. I had a salad dowsed in acidic vinaigrette making the rest of the food barely edible. I tried a 'meatball' ragu sandwich thing. The next day I had a basic brunch with bread, avo, and some veggies. All very basic, bland, with sharp, clashing flavours like vinaigrette, too much lemon, too much cardamom etc. As with many foody vegans, it's heartbreaking walking away from a restaurant knowing you'd have cooked better at home. Not enough garlic, seasoning or thought... It has potential for sure because the ethos is incredible, the shop attached is beautiful, the staff are kind and attentive, too.More

This second lockdown was definitely more difficult that the last one fro some of us. Then again it's probably easier than the next one is going to be! One of the nice things about emerging into the sunlight at the end of this one is...getting to consume good food that I haven't made myself and here's no better place to do that than at Wholegreen here in the hipstertastic stretch of street that is Church Lane in Letterkenny. The same good looking staff are here with a few new editions. The team have been busy during lockdown having reworked the whole place to include a health food shop next door, while the Yoga class upstairs was about to start as I was wandering in for a coffee and a bowl of Marians utterly wonderful porridge. There is always something new to try and today was no different with something called vegan christmas stuffing on offer. It might sound a bit weird, but trust me when I say that you've yet to live life to it's fullest if you haven't tried this stuff yet. Welcome back Wholegreen people, you've been missed!More

Post lockdown the shop is open again and it's great to have such good food again. The volcano wrap with the quinoa salad has to be tasted to be believed..

I am guessing that due to Covid restrictions the food is being served in recyclable cardboard boxes with wooden cutlery. I found it difficult eating out of the box and the wooden knife would not cut anything. Its too messy and flimsy and took the...enjoyment out of my lunch. Please bring back the crockery and knives and forks, better for the environment, just stick it in the dishwasher. Paper cups being used instead of glasses now too. I realise that these are difficult times for businesses and they are doing their best with all the restrictions however, the disposable boxes and cutlery is a step to far in my opinion. Servers are friendly and courteous and wear masks. The lunch was nice.More

So happy to have ate a delicious lunch in Wholegreen - amazing salad bowl, delish lemon drizzle cake and the best oat milk latte I’ve had. Thanks team Wholegreen. I’ll be back again.

Great find in Letterkenny for healthy and tasty options! We enjoyed their granola pots so much my boyfriend insisted we went back three times during our two day stay in Letterkenny! The owner went out of her way to find strawberries as she had ran...out. Scones are delicious and so are their peanut butter flatjacks! Never did I think I’d hear my meat eating boyfriend ask to go back to “the Vegan place”. Great job team wholegreen health food and thanks for being so helpful and friendly!More

Firstly I am not a vegetarian or a vegan, so heading for a vegetarian meal is not something I do regularly! Myself and my friend were passing through Letterkenny and needed good food in a hurry. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, we prebooked by phone...earlier, the person told us they were nearly sold out, and many of the salads were no longer available that day. However, we decided we'd find something, and indeed we did. I had a Power Protein Bowl for lunch with Teriyaki sauce from the display cabinet, I wasn't even sure what was in it, but boy, it was gorgeous. My guest also thoroughly enjoyed hers. There were also lots of juices and healthy sweet treats on offer too. There was lots of attention to the Covid 19 guidelines with sanitiser, and direction signs in use in the restaurant, so we felt very safe while we were there. Overall my first visit to the restaurant was very enjoyable - food and service was super, just one question....when's the cookbook coming. Food like this is too good not to share!More
