Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Came here to eat as a party of 5 for dinner. The place was busy but that is not an excuse for awful service and a mediocre meal. My chicken curry was tasteless, it did not have enough sauce in it and was not worth...the money. My friend had carbonara which lacked pasta, normally when you order carbonara it comes with loads of pasta but this did not , the steaks were enjoyed by the others though. The dinners were poorly presented too. We waited over 45 mins on our food, we seen it was busy but were not told about the extended wait. Not one member of staff came to our table to check if our food was ok or if we needed anything else. Our plates were collected but staff member did not speak a word to us , did not ask if our food was ok or if we would like desert etc. Customer service was very poor. I understand that things can slip when a place is busy but good standards of customer service should not . Our meal was not worth the money we paid. We were disappointed as we had booked the meal for my husband's birthday. Will definitely not be back and will not recommend.More

Where to start……. The food was of a standard with a Wetherspoons but the prices were not. They forgot to bring out one of the main courses for one person in our group. I spent 5 minutes trying to get someone to assist and when...I did she did nothing as she was too busy chatting with another staff member therefore I had to ask someone else where the missing meal was. Another one of the mains we ordered clearly stated on the menu it came with garlic bread, this never came out and when we asked where it was the waitress went off and got the smallest piece of garlic bread on a tea saucer, threw it on the table, said “happy now” smirked and walked away. To top it off the security guard came over and told us it was part of his job to ask customers how their food was (very strange to have a man in a high vis vest doing customer surveys) this made us very uncomfortable as he stayed at the table for an age talking to the point the half the group got up and left leaving the others to finish their drink and follow behind. Avoid at all costs visit other establishments on the Main Street (see my other reviews) for far superior food, atmosphere and service.More

FANTASTIC!!! Stopped off here during the day for a bite to eat. Offered lunch and all I can say is roast beef dinner was delicious and well presented. The manager Tony was extremely courteous and friendly. Would definitely recommend The Orchard. Ladies toilets were immaculate...(all 7 of them!) as was the lounge area. Will definitely be back! PS: Ample parking available ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️More

I took my mother for mother's day dinner. The place was busy but unfortunately the food was not worth the money. We ordered from the mother's day menu. I had soup to start which was tasteless and in a tiny bowl. My mum had garlic...mushrooms which she said were ok. My main course was a noodle bowl. It was a tiny portion that wouldn't have filled a child. I ordered chips alongside as I was hungry and I'm glad that I did. My mum ordered the beef which was ok but the veg was one tiny slice of turnip and a tiny bit of cabbage. She ordered chips too and the chips arrived when we were almost finished both meals despite asking for them twice. Dessert was apple pie for both of us. The apple pie was tiny slice with a bit of ice cream. Very disappointing. There was one staff member who was very rude to their colleague who they had mopping the floor. It was horrible to watch how he spoke to him and treated him. That alone has put me off going back.More

I ordered lasagne and chips here last week. The food was average, nothing special. The service was terrible. We asked on numerous occasions could we get another drink and the waiter would say I'll go and ask someone else and she never came back. It...was all very slow, even when taking our food and drinks order at the start.More

What lovely staff. We visited here before the theatre drawn in by their parking and outdoor seating. We encountered three bar staff as we ordered and received our meal and each one so friendly and just so personable. I paid for our meal as I...ordered it as we were sitting outside ,as our plates were being cleared we decided to have a coffee ,another member of staff ,slightly more mature but equally friendly ,brought us our coffees and when I went to pay they said that it was on the house. What a lovely experience,we will definitely return. To the owners your staff are a credit to you .More

Was in today, we eat in here every so often and its always lovely but today was SHOCKING! If we werent starving we wouldve just walked out. Didnt want to complain to the waitresses as they seemed new and were actually lovely. Boyfriends burger was...luke warm, he got the wrong chips and when they brought out the new plate there was barely any on it and half of the chips on his plate were raw. My fajitas were meant to be vegan but I was given sour cream on the side, also it didnt come out presented how it normally does. It wasnt hot and tasted like someone half cooked some vegetables in a tin of tomatoes and threw it in a dish! Usually when we eat here the food is always amazing! The chef today clearly wasnt bothered... worst thing was, it wasnt even busy when we were in. The pints were lovely and so was all the staff, shame the food was so bad!More

We stayed for a few days in letterkenny and on our last night we decided to eat in the Orchard Inn. We heard good things about it. When we arrived the guy that seemed to be the head waiter came over to us and asked...our booking name and off he went, we didn't know whether to follow him or not until he came back and beckoned us. There was certainly no greeting in it for us. He sat us at our table and off he was again, no menus or cutlery at the table. When our food arrived it was decent but we had a hard job tracking down any staff as they were rushing about. No one asked was everything OK etc. After our meal the place was packed and it was then we realised that we were basically sitting in the laps of others with about a 30cm gap certainly no 2 metre distance and every other table in the place was the exact same. I even witnessed the waiter bringing people to a table that had not been cleaned down or sanitised between other customers and with that we got out of there. Probably won't be back to be honest.More

Call in with my girlfriend while traveling back from Donegal for a bite of Lunch. Secured an outside table as weather was beautiful. I had chicken carbonara which was delicious at only $15 Euros with great tasting chicken and sauce. My partners Chicken Curry was...$15 Euros 1/2 & 1/2 with a surcharge of $1.50 which I though was strange. Gordons & Tonic was $6.50 Sparkling Water was $3.00 My total bill came to $45.90 Barman overcharged me for Pint Of Bud $4.90 which I never asked for or received I just paid the bill and did not notice until I traveled home some 90 miles later. If owner wishes to check this receipt number 475925 on 15th Aug 2020 @ 2.20pm. It was my fault for not checking Bill but I hate to be ripped off by the barman not the Waitress. Toilets where spotless.More
