1. Great location but area to improve - who manages the restaurant i.e. keen team but who is in control? - been on several occasions but ordering a drink takes forever. 2, Don’t pre-cook especially pasta. 3. More vegetarian/ vegan alternatives please.

Went for special occasion. The chaotic service let the whole meal down. Despite mentioning that we wished to have time for cocktails, starters arrived within 5mins of receiving our drinks. Wine did not arrive till halfway through the main course. There was no feeling that...anyone was in charge and no hint of an apology. Should know better.More

Have been here a few times since it opened. Pre Covid top mars, Visited a few times recently as the setting is lovely but very disappointed with Dinner menu - far too much fish and very little other options for meat/vegetarian lovers. Fish on recent...visit was cremated and overcooked, the chicken breast dish was tasteless. The accompanying sauces/veg had a nice flavour but overall room for improvement and pricing does not reflect the quality of cooking. Also could you please get more comfortable chairs. Too low for eating and very uncomfortable.More

Food was top class. Special mention to our server Grace who made sure everything was absolutely perfect. A1 service and extremely clean location. Would highly recommend!

Had dinner there tonight and it was ghastly for the price. Slow and uninterested service. Par baked cuisine de France bread with Dairy gold sachets. Linguine with crab and prawn that was actually cheap supermarket spaghetti with only a seafood broth. Fillet steak that was...cremated and full of grissle and a dessert that was again something pre made from Pallas foods or Musgraves. I told them all this and the answer I got was "thanks I'll tell the chef" as I was handed a bill for €65 for one person. Go to the Lemon Tree or Yellow Pepper and pay less for a far better meal with much better service. Will never darken the door again.More

Took a trip out to Church for an early Birthday dinner on our way back from Malin Head to our accommodation near Dungloe, it's in a lovely setting but easy enough to find on the back road out of Letterkenny. Very well set up for...COVID protocols. It was pretty quiet as we had booked in for 6pm, food was delicious and the service was very good. Would definitely recommend.More

Stayed at Rockhill House, so the first night we dined at The Church. Food was good but the service was terrible. The waitress didn't know what came with the main course, drinks ordered and not received, wrong sides came with main meal, item on bill...that shouldn't have been there. One paper napkin to accommodate all courses. Absolutely appalling. However, due to current restrictions we reluctantly dined here the second night. Completely different. Service was excellent. Waiter understood everything we ordered and provided an excellent experience. Food also good. Basically The Church Service can be hit or miss. Nice venue thoughMore

My wife and I had dinner for the first time Sunday evening 18th July. The Pavilion at the Church provides "outdoor" dining at its most comfortable. The ambience in the dining area is attractive and safe, with contemporary styling and dressed in colourful floral arrangements....Attention to all "Covid" protocols is meticulous but unobtrusive. Michael oversees a very professional service and sets the highest professional standards himself, delivered at all times with warmth and confidence. Letterkenny is served by several restaurants offering the best quality of local produce cooked and served with excellence. The Church Restaurant, even though a more recent addition, is already delivering a wonderful dining experience.More

Awful experience. The food was overcooked and bland. Had to send the steak back is I ordered it medium and it came well done. When it came back it was super tough so couldn't eat it. Told the manager and he seemed really nice but...then never returned while we were left waiting and when we eventually just went to pay, he didn't recognise us and the waitress had to run after us last minute to offer a starter on the house. They did have a small event that night and the staff were new but for the prices, service and food offered it was not worth going.More
