Have eaten here a number of times. Most recently, visited last Sunday for a family dinner and we had the full Sunday lunch. The menu was lovely with great choices. Food was fresh and very tasty. The beef dish and hake dish were particularly good....The service was excellent, all the staff were efficient yet friendly. Although it was busy, the restaurant is well spaced and was very comfortable. Would highly recommend for both locals and visitors to the town. Coffee was also great!!More

A group of us called here for lunch before Christmas, took ages to get served but dinner was very nice, I had the turkey and was served as I had asked which was good, ie no stuffing or gravy. We were tempted by the Baked...Alaska for dessert and it looked good but were very disappointed, the fruit and some of the sponge were frozen solid and the meringue was very undercooked, all the baked Alaska was the same. The staff were very nice and friendly. Dinner was a bit pricy for a dinner compared to other restaurants locally.More

Been here for food a few times and have never been disappointed. Went with a group of 6 for dinner and the service was top class but the food was even better. Can't wait to go back. Highly recommend

A great bar and meeting place in the hotel. Good staff make it with table service when possible even just for one drink.

My aunt's choir group had it's annual big group dinner at Dillons hotel recently. Everyone in the group were so delighted with the friendly, warm welcome from the staff and the service and the food and choice of dishes was excellent! Everyone had a lovely...and very special evening. The location of the hotel is perfect, it's in the heart of the town, everything is within easy walking distance.More

Ordered starters shrimp and soup of the day, shrimp was perfect had no complaints, soup was like water it was very poor and tasteless but wasn’t cheap. I only got a mains house burger, very good one of the nicest burgers I have ever tasted,...I also got a childeren curry; it was very bad chips were under done and my child had to drink the curry my pint of Guinness was thicker, desert was nice but over priced for what was served in comparison to the presentation of other places I have visited. Overall the only good thing about the food in this place was the friendly staff the were exceptional. Thank you again !More
