Food very average. All prepared and a bit dull. Had pastas which were ok, supermarket packet quality. Wine poor. Desserts dried out in fridge unit, one lonely slice of each remaining. Would not recommend this place.
After reading reviews online before going we were worried.... Never the less we kept an open mind and went ahead, we had book the venue previous as 13 of us were attending. To start 5 of ourselves shared brunettes and mussel and they were outstanding...and perfect amount as bread and authentic Italian olive oil, balsamic vinegar and olives came alongside it.
For mains we had a variety of pizza and pasta, although the carbonara was a little dry, the pizza and pasta were phenomenal. The chips and beverages were great too to quench ones thirst. For desert shared amount us, as the potion sizes were greatly generous. We had Toblerone cheese cake, chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream which they claim as homemade, was delicious! The bathrooms were simple but sparkling and cannot complement the bar waitresses enough and chefs too. Was a good atmosphere with local celebrities on site and in great location of town, of you are looking for authentic Italian I would definitely recommend!More
Ate here with a party of 10. 6 adults 4 children. Restaurant not busy. Atmosphere terrible. Was the Saturday before Xmas no Xmas music , decorations the place was miserable. Ordered starters. All came at different times. Some finished before others got theirs. Soup and...bruschetta was terrible. Main courses arrived out with only 1/2 the table cleared of starters. We were here an hr at this stage. Had to ask for table to be cleared whilst waitress standing with the mains in her hand. No replacement cutlery given, had to ask for that also. Kids pizza burnt, lasagna dry and burnt and reheated. Chicken in pasta dish was sour.
I asked to speak with floor manager. Guess what ... there was none. The chef was in charge. How she could cook and run the floor I’ll never know. Spoke to manager/head chef/ floor manager who was more than rude and asked I have respect for the staff. 3 very nice young girls with no experience of waitresses or dealing with customers.
Bill came, every item on it despite severals been sent back because they were not edible.
Had to question the bill and was told they would have to ring the boss who was at home🙄.
Definitely will not be returning and would not recommend it to anyone. Need to up their game in every aspect.
Had a family lunch in this restaurant this week. The food was very good offering authentic Italian cuisine. The menu had a wide range of options and had an extensive pizza menu, also a kids menu.
The restaurant décor was warm and inviting and was...also child friendly.
Location was close to the famous Ailiwee Cave.
Service could be improved while staff were very friendly and attentive. We all had a most enjoyable meal and prices were not over the top.
I would recommend a visit and I hope to return at a future date.
Parking can be a little tricky as none is provided by the restaurant.More
We were on a family holiday in Ballyvaughan, where we have visited for many years and decided to try this restaurant for the first time. We were made very welcome, the food was delicious and served very hot for a large party. I would recommend...the pizzas and spaghetti with prawns. We also had takeaway pizzas on another occasion.More
A great & different place to eat in co. Clare, Ireland! A very authentic Italian place with good authentic Italian food. Our waiter was attentive and informative.
The food was hot & delicious.
I would recommend this place for sure.
Along our visit to Ballyvaughan, with my son and grandson, we wanted to eat Italian food, so went for lunch to this apparently fine place for lunch.
The visit was very disappointing, as they didn't want to book us a table, saying it was full,...when in fact it was half empty and din't see reservation sign on any table.
Seems they didn't like us, because the behavior of the Italian (?) manager was really disgusting.
The dining hall is decorated resembling a fina restaurant, but the menu looks like the one of a plain Italian trattoria.
Finally I can't say if the food is good enough, but I don't want to cross that door any more.More
The food was lovely, as were the staff, but a bit slow, we got the wrong pizza and the pasta portion was delicious, but tiny. Our glass of wine was forgotten about, as was the bread we were offered. The coffees took a long time...to come and we ordered apple crumble, assuming it came with cream/ice-cream, we were a bit taken a back when we were charged extra for ice cream when the dessert was already quite expensive. I come back for the food but not the prices/service.More
