We stopped off for breakfast on our last day in Ballyvaughan and while there was quite a wait as we arrived at a busy time, we were in no hurry and the service was good and the food was delicious.
We arrived by chance but will return! The food was really tasty and we enjoyed the outdoor courtyard eating area. The hot bowl option was supurb 🙂 as vegetarians on a walking trip we could not have been happier to find this on our route
The food was excellent and reasonably priced. Great choice for vegetarians. The outdoor dining space wasn’t great but the food made up for it.
We were passing through Ballyvaughan & came across this little gem of a cafe. Easily the best breakfast/brunch we've had all week. The highlight was the tarragon mushrooms with poached eggs. The kids loved the waffles (with bacon & maple syrup and blueberries & cream)....The bagel with cream cheese & bacon was also delicious. The decor is quirky & fun - even the bathroom! There are outside tables & a playground next door. All staff were very vigilant with COVID-19 policies and we felt safe there. Service was a little slow but it was very busy. Would highly recommend this place. A good stop near the Alliwee caves.More
Lovely atmosphere, food and staff. Also enjoyed the coffee that warmed the bones up on a foogy, rainy day
Cute, cozy deli/cafe. Everything we had was delicious. The red dragon tea is amazing! Nice little fire to sit by and very affordable.
As soon as we walked in we were excited. A real treat for us for lunch on Sunday. So many home-made treats to chose from, all looking delicious. We had various coffees, salads, cakes and pancakes and were tempted by so many more. All were...delicious. Decor is so homely and inviting .. with a real stove lighting ... Wow. We’re definitely coming back here next time we’re anywhere nearby in county Clare.More
Attended a gathering in Ballyvaughan recently and was fortunate to have the larder cater many meals. The fresh healthy ingredients completed innovative recipes. Can’t recommend highly enough!!
I and my wife are frequent visitors to Ballyvaughan and recently had breakfast at the Larder. I can’t remember what my wife had but I’ll never forget my breakfast. I had the poached eggs and mushrooms with a tarragon cream sauce on bread. The flavour...was outstanding and the eggs were semi solid. Any softer and the red would have run into the cream. Any harder would be too hard. I had it again this morning but sadly it will be off the menu soon as it changes seasonally. This little restaurant across from the petrol station in a little industrial unit is a hidden gem. Take a bow!More
