Myself the hubby, a teen and a tween did a baking experience with Kate. What an absolutely fantastic experience. Kate is a gem. I credit her with our families new found interest in baking. We had fluffy scones and spelt bread like we've never had...before. Delicious! The new Covid regulations have made things so difficult for small businesses but its so great to be able to support those businesses that are trying to survive. Go Kate, we loved it. And we'll be back.More

My husband and I had the pleasure to meet Kate at her home to make a trio of Irish culinary favorites – lamb stew, brown bread and almond scones with pears. The experience did not disappoint! Kate was a wonderful host and instructor. She had...all ingredients, recipes and aprons organized and ready upon our arrival. She guided us through every step of the process, answering any questions which we had about the dishes. Kate made us feel very welcome in her home, (which is quite charming- especially her lovely landscaped gardens). Of course, the highlight was sampling our creations. Stew, bread and scones all were all delicious. We particularly loved the scones- so moist and soft inside. We left Kate’s with the satisfaction that comes with creating something, and with a memory of Irish hospitality that we won’t forget. If your schedule permits, we would definitely recommend Kate’s cooking experience.More

We had a great time with Kate and learned much. Even when I inadvertently said something offensive she was gracious and helpful with my kids. We’ve been making delicious scones at home. Thanks Kate!

I visited Kate at her home to try her Air BnB Baking experience..i arrived as arranged to Kates beautiful home by following her directions..Kate is a very gracious hostess and was ready and waiting for my visit.. We had a coffee , while i decided...what i would like to try baking..I must admit at this point that i have absolutely no previous experience at baking and only very limited skills in the Kitchen in general. Kate handed me an apron and made me feel right at home in her beautiful country Kitchen..i almost forgot to mention her beautiful little dog Coco was also there ..Kate really put me at ease and is a natural teacher and had me measuring and folding the mix for the scones and spelt bread and brown bread.. I made Blueberry Scones and Brown Spelt Bread and Brown seeded bread..we chatted while everything was in the oven and then it was time for the " Taste Test " and i must say i was blown away with the results..i found it hard to believe they tasted so good..i came home with scones and brown bread and the recipes.. As someone who can barely find their way round a Kitchen i really recommend Kates Baking Experience to anyone who is looking for something a bit different on their Holiday or even as a gift for a Friend, or a fun thing to do for a couple of Friends. Kate is and a fantastic Hostess and is very chatty and knowledgeable and has a great sense of humour..most of all i feel i can bake something now..10\10More

If you are interested in making scones and bread, this little experience is for you. Our day started out by taking the 51 bus to Kilcolgin where we were picked up by Kate at the bus stop. We introduces ourselves on the way to her...AirBnB establishment, and were welcomed into her very own kitchen. Before we knew it, we were hands deep into flour and butter on our way to making the lightest and fluffiest scones ever! Each of us made different a different flavour so we had a taste test to look forward to. Kate guided us step by step and patiently answered some of the wildest questions from us as we learned the feel and the techniques of keeping everything light. As our scones were placed in the oven to bake, we started right into our bread making exercise. One was a millet bread and an the others were variations of brown breads. When we had our pans loaded, it was time to sit back and enjoy the fruits of our labour. Drinking tea and enjoying great conversation, the conclusion was unanimous - the scones were truly the lightest and fluffiest ever! Our breads were a delight. When all was said and done, our labours were packed and Kate drove us back to Oranmore where she had clients waiting at her cafe and just in time for us to catch our bus back to Galway. An experience that anyone would enjoy!.More

I scheduled a Baking Class for me and my 20y.o. son. Kate invited us to her lovely home, where we met her dog Coco! 🐶 We has a blast learning to make scones ( I made orange, my son did raisin) and brown bread and...spelt bread. Kate puts you right at ease and treats you like family. All the recipes are written to take home, as well as tips on how to modify as you want. We enjoyed our scones with tea ☕️ in the warmth of her kitchen. I highly recommend this class for: a) anyone who wants to learn to bake, b)anyone who wants to learn Irish baking/cooking, c) experienced bakers who want to expand their skills, d) groups looking for something to do, and e) anyone who likes to eat! We had a lovely time, and highly recommend this experience!More
