Had dinner here and were not disappointed. The food was delicious and beautifully presented. Staff were lovely. We had a table with lovely views over the water. Can recommend the chicken curry.

A large family group called in here for an hour as our ferry back to Buncrana was postponed . We just had coffees and a plate of chips.Service was friendly and we agreed that they were the best chips ever so crisp and tasty. We met...friends who were having a meal there and they said it was wonderful .It was very busy .Great views onto the sea .We'll come back for a meal sometime.More
A group called in for dinner.. staff were friendly and couldn’t do enough.. had the seafood chowder which was very good, the rest had the fish and chips, looked good and was told it tasted as good as it looked.. Guinness 7.5/10.. all good
dirty glasses floor toilets and highchairs filthy food was OK but I nearly put myself off looking around me
Myself and a friend went to their barbaque on 31.7.22. She ordered a burger which was €6.50 (way overpriced). She asked for coleslaw and was told it was all gone. (this was only around 2.00 pm). She asked for cutlery; none, disposable plates; none. Then...asked for some lettuce and the girl serving went back and finally got some and a takeaway box where my friend put the lettuce in. She requested a knife to cut it as we were sharing it. A man at the barbaque gave her one and she cut it herself. We sat down at a table and ate a dry burger. Upon leaving, we noticed that a big tub of coleslaw magically appeared along with plastic cutlery, disposable plates and condiments. We walked away in disgust. TERRIBLE FOOD AND SERVICE. WE'LL NEVER BE BACK.More
EXCELLENT food and the views from the place are fantastic, nothing like it, I will be back.. Very friendly staff ❤️
Outstanding place in every way, highly recommended, great food helpful staff, they do Scraggy Bay on tap, which is quite rare, defo worth a visit
Called ahead to see if they could seat our group of 15 people, and they were very accomodating, and we arrived to see two reserved tables set up for us. Service was friendly and efficient and the selection of food was excellent. Several first-timers loved...the Guinness, and I appreciated a couple of pints of Scraggy Bay on draught. A good, solid local pub with great food and a wonderful view of Lough Swilly. Highly recommended.More
Had a fab weekend in the beachcomber… Food fantastic, staff fantastic and views are amazing.. Thanks guys
Ordered 2 Guinness for last orders and was told 20 minutes later that they weren’t pouring any more pints after watching the manager pour a pint 2 minutes before.
We phoned and booked outdoor dining for the following evening understanding that it was covered but was outdoor. When we arrived we found a large area fully covered in with only one small door open for ventilation. An indoor restaurant would have had windows opened...thus more ventilation! Also the waiter who greeted us and served us did not wear a mask although other servers did. Despite food being good, our evening was not enjoyable as did not feel safe .More
Visiting this gem of a coastal town with lots of history we decided to drop in for lunch. Good menu and friendly staff greeted us and we were seated in the covered outdoors with a great view of the bay. Have to say had the...best seafood chowder EVER!! Was like a meal in itself and tasted so good. You will not regret a visit to this great pub. It made out day !!More
Wouldn't serve food unless booked in the COVERED seated area.! . (which had loads of spare tables for the 2 hours I was there)) Was a beautiful sunny day Although if u knew the wait staff/servers u could get food in the non covered area(2...foot away from where I was sitting.)All outdoors so can't see what the problem was. The amount of people turned away inside the 2 hours I was there was absolutely crazy. Bad management. Took the ferry over especially for something to eat. Won't be back again. Before anyone says anything about booking tables I tried to book the day before but the phone wasn't working the day before or the morning of so how u even supposed to book a table with the phone lines turned off?More
We were a little unsure about this place on first glance, but it definitely did not disappoint food wise, food was unreal and excellent service, we were stuck for time as we wanted to get the ferry, the staff got our meals out us swiftly...enough, would definitely be back. Does gluten free food too.More
Called in today and was met at the door by a very friendly chap. I heard others call him Frank. He showed us to our freshly sanitized table and he explained the extra steps taken by the management to ensure our safety. We both just...had the soup of the day with a lovely fresh roll and stayed warm while Lough Swilly crashed outsite. The man I took to be the manager came over and chatted to us and we were made feel our custom was appreciated. We're driving near there on Sunday and we both decided that we would make a detour for Sunday lunch as the food that flowed from the kitchen looked delicious. I really enjoyed the experience and most importantly we both felt safe. It was just like the old times. Can see how you could ever go wrong in this place. Pleasant, relaxed atmosphere and a real Donegal welcome.More
