Hi Colm. Hopefully you are aware of the international pandemic Covid 19. Following government restrictions during lockdowns we are only allowed to operate as a take away service. During lockdowns our hardworking and loyal staff have to be laid off and my wife and I...More

This has to be one of the best Restaurants in Ireland. The building is stunning, and such a surprise if you have not been before to walk in from the bar area. It’s a very welcoming place, Staff are warm and friendly, it’s a mix...of relaxed and sophisticated, where you can wear your finest or jeans and shirt and feel great. Food is excellent, a great choice on the menu and always impeccably cooked and presented. The fillet steak has to be the best in Ireland, and their Cesar salad and onion mash are just divine! A must visit if your in Tipperary and even worth a drive to if your further away! I’ve eaten here a number of times and always look forward to the next.More

Just had Hans at Home take away for Sunday lunch. Both of us had fillet steak followed by pavlova and sticky toffee pudding. It was such a treat, we so enjoyed it! So delighted take-away now available- we will be back! Thank you

We were waiting and hoping that chez Hans would decide to provide a takeaway service and it finally came yesterday. Menu on Facebook, phone in your order, pay and collect at allotted time in car park. Perfect. Got the food home all separately packed in...takeaway containers, once we sorted out what goes with what ( a little challenging as we had five different orders). It was such a treat. Fish cakes with a volute to die for. Risotto with slow cooked lamb, fillet steak and a gorgeous vegetarian pasta. All served with lots of baby new potatoes and salad.( salad portion very small for 5 but very fresh and tasty). And then the dessert..... this was something else, each one better than the next. Very generous portions, Lemon posset, tiramisu, chocolate pot with honeycomb. And then there was the surprise.... lovely touch. We got pancake batter and fruit sauce that can be cooked for breakfast the following day..... looking forward to it. Overall, this was a great dining experience and a very welcome break from home cooking over the past 8 weeks!! Thank you to the team at chez Hans, stay safe.More

The food in Chez Hans is always fabulous but it is the little (often un-noticed) extras that make it so special. Seamus met us on arrival and made sure we were sitting in the bar-and in an area that when rest of party arrived we...could be together. Our coats were taken and hung together-for ease of access on departure. Seanus served drinks and kept on eye open and greeted our friends as they arrived. All the while looking after the other clients. Louise circulated the menus and was very helpful to the few of our party with food allergies etc. Suggesting and accommodating special requests. The table in the dining room was beautifully presented. The staff were all so friendly but professional at the same time. All in all a very special enjoyable night.More

Have been dining here since 1975 and cannot remember a bad meal. Always a good selection of fish and meat on menu. Lobster always available in season. Portions are ample and excellently presented. A family run restaurant with the owner doing the cooking and front...of house managed by the wife Louise. Overall an excellent dining experience. Restaurant in business over 40 years and so must be doing something right.More

Had dinner here at the weekend with some friends and it’s is such a beautiful setting to begin with and the food is just perfection, from walking in and front of house staff that were the loveliest to the restaurant,I had the scallops that were melt...in your mouth gorgeous and my husband had the steak that was also melt in your mouth,I cannot fault this place, maybe lacking a tiny bit of atmosphere but that’s it,I will come back here again and again but probably for special occasions as it is a tiny bit pricey but you pay for what you get and it’s worth the treat by a mile,no where near this around, staff amazing and food fabulousMore
