Was a regular visitor for early breakfast under old Management. Visited regularly since new Management too over. Last two breakfasts were terrible with half cooked tomatoes & Potatoe Cakes which were raw and uncooked. I had noticed a lot of the regulars had disappeared and i can now see why. Service is just OK

Visiting without reservations there was no problem seating us, nice table at the window shown to us by the most attentive waitress. Service was excellent, specials were explained with cocktails, wine and food. Starters were tasty and promising followed by mains that were unfortunately disappointment and therefore overpriced. Still a good night because of the really pleasant waitress waiting our... More

Just had lunch in Riva. Lovely and warm inside, atmosphere was very welcoming. I had a vegetarian meal which was very tasty and my companions had the fish and chips and the carbonara respectively, all were beautifully presented and very good. The service was great, very helpful. Well done.

Came here not sure what the new Riva was like since it changed hands. Very disappointing regards service felt we were constantly looking for someone. Not once were we asked if everything was ok, no one approached the table unless we looked for them outside of bringing food or drinks. On the upside the food was nice but spoiled by... More

Have been a regular visitor here for our Saturday morning family treat for the past few years. Over the past few months, it has gone quickly down hill. Having given the new owners ample time to get up and running, our latest visit was the worst yet. Food came to the table verging on overdone! Unfortunately the waitress had not... More

Had Sunday lunch here recently. Very dissappointed. Very few customers there. Loads of mash served with tiny amount of dried up veg. Chicken supreme very poor. Chicken was like out of a chipper. Food used to be delicious here but unfortunately standard gone way down since it changed ownership. Would not go again.

I went for breakfast on a Sunday morning, the food was delicious, the service was great, and there was a nice relaxed atmosphere. In addition the portions were generous, overall good value. I most definitely will be back soon.

Dinned in Riva for the first time the other night since it has been taken over by new management. To say I was pleasantly surprised was an understatement, although the food was nice before its been brought to a whole new level. The menu was superb and the value for money is undeniable, the food you receive for the money... More

Have always been a lover of riva.. However my most recent visit was disappointing. The food which was always top class went seriously downhill.. Felt more like bad pub grub to be honest. Have heard its under new management since Iv last ate there so will try it out again and hopefully it will have improved. As always though the... More
