This place was highly recommended, but was such a disappointment. Started off well with the chicken wings, but then it went downhill. Waited nearly an hour for a mediocre meal, scampi was tasteless, seafood chowder was luke warm and the onion rings, well the less...said about them the better. I know Santa was making an appearance, I just hope he wasn’t expecting a good meal because I think he was going to be very disappointed and would probably put this place on the “don’t go there list”More

I enjoyed the food but we nor anyone else were asked for proof of covid vaccination. This was very disappointing.

We booked a table for 8 over Halloween weekend. We were seated promptly and drinks order taken. Food menu seriously curtailed with few fish dishes. Steak sandwich is not a sandwich - it’s a steak on a piece of garlic bread that has cooked onions...spread on it - no garnish. Chips were cold and limp and had to be returned by all our party. Chowder was served with 2 cheese crackers ! Once initial drinks order was taken service was very ad hoc and as there no staff wearing uniforms it was hard to get someone’s attention. A jug of juice was the same price as a soft drink. There are so many better places to go to especially in Carlingford. I used to love going to Fitzpatricks as a once a year treat - it’s time to move on.More

Called Sunday to Fitzpatrick's as we do very often for its fantastic food and service. First of all we were completely gobsmacked that none of us were asked for vaccine certs and that was only the start. Told to go to the small bar to...wait to be seated. We were waiting over an hour in the bar just to get a table and nobody even came to ask us did we want menus! This was all happening while observing crowds walking in and not asked for there vaccine passes we decided that was enough, the smell was another red flag. It was disgusting, like empty your septic tanks! Fitzpatrick's is firmly bulldozed into the ground. Won't be back!More

The Good news: (a) The external scare fest was as excellent; (b) The quality of the food and the cooking was good. The Bad News: (a) The menu has been curtailed; (b) The restaurant lacked the usual Halloween atmosphere. There was no internal decoration like...the previous years; (c) The Halloween menu for kids was not available this year; (d) Charged my daughter €2.95 for water and cordial. On the other hand I later paid €2.95 for a Coke. Every business needs to make a margin. There is margin and there is rip off.More

We had fun today 'enjoying?' the fantastic Hallowe'en exhibits around the grounds. A lot of work went into such creations. The staff were so relaxingly friendly and humourous. the food was ample and delicious. We had a wonderful lunch and very much enjoyed the whole...experience.More

Ate here last week with a few friends. Ordered and our drinks, starters and mains all arrived in good time. All were delicious and food was hot. However, when we were finished our mains it took roughly 20 minutes to clear our plates, a long...time to have our dessert order taken and our dessert plates werent taken off our table before we left. We also had to ask for the bill as no one came to ask if we wanted any more drinks or anything else. Delicious food let down by pretty bad service and disappointing from somewhere with such a good reputation. Would maybe give it another chance because the food was so nice.More
