Dined twice in a 12 day stay in Waterville. I love the atmosphere particularly the pub and the recently completed renovations on the second floor. The views of the bay are tremendous but only drinks are served up there. The scallops entree was very good...as was the service. I would definitely return here.More

Tuesday May 24, 2022. 4:00pm. We (four American travelers) stopped by for beer and snacks. Two female wait staff working. Older female delivered food but no utensils then disappeared. Flagged down the younger female, made eye contact so she knew we needed something. She immediately...broke eye contact and went on about her work. Had to wait for older female to reappear.More

A group of friends spent Easter weekend in Waterville. We (6) had booked Dooleys for the third night of our stay (Sunday night) having read reviews and in particular as it was mentioned in the Irish Sunday Independent as one of the 100 best restaurants...in Ireland. When we arrived, there was an air a bit frantic. On reflection we all agreed we should have left at that point. Once we were seated and given the menus, a waitress left a bundle of cutlery on the table and left leaving us to set the table, again the warning signs were there for what might come. We ordered, first course arrived which was fine, however the main courses came just as we were finishing (much to quick to have been freshly prepared) I struggled through my steak, as did the other five. Two eat nothing . The owner took the plates away stating that there was no charge for the two dishes and offered the party a drink All very well but we would have much preferred a memorable meal, for the right reasons. The impression I got was a chaotic restaurant unable to cope with the numbers. to sum up a fast food restaurant with illusions of fine dining. We will not be returning.More

As a party of 4 we tried this restaurant. It's very nice looking, the welcome a bit cold but the waiter was eventually quite nice. No surprises regarding the food, we find the same dishes as everywhere else in Ireland, but a bit more expensive...(17€ for a fish and chips). My wife took the mussels, we were suprised with the small quantity proposed (a small bowl). The prawns were very tasty and the quantity sufficient. A nice pub, no bad surprises.More

Stopped for lunch due to the spectacular location and views. Lovely modern building. Person taking our order was very abrupt and we didn’t feel welcome. I had a very enjoyable seafood pasta and my wife had the mussels. They were the smallest ones we have...ever seen and the actual ‘meat’ was tiny - like wee cockles - and not like the quality ones we are used to in Scotland and France. Very disappointing.More

Another good option for seafood along the ring of Kerry. Chunks of fresh fish in the seafood chowder and tasty mussels and seafood scampi. Worth a visit if passing by.

I had some issues to finally get a table that don't need to be mentioned here but I can tell you the "wait" and "effort" I put into getting the table I wanted was really worth the wait!!! I only went to three places in...Waterville and all restaurants were good but... Dooley's was on another level. The food was tasty, fresh, clever and creative. It was not just a mix of ingredients following a recipe. There was love and care in preparing the dishes. That is what makes a restaurant great in my view. The seafood chowder was to die for!More

Had lunch here on a day trip tour of Kerry. Great selection of draught beers and good food at a reasonable price with a spectacular view of the ocean just at the window. The beef and guinness pie was pretty good. Friendly staff also. Would...recommend.More

Great Food in Dooleys. I had a drink and meal in great surroundings, looking out over the bay. Service was good and very prompt. Food was excellent.
