We were looking a sup of tea as we were travelling round 'The Ring' and thought that this looked a good set up. The tea room was smaller than it appeared from the outside. We went in and were in the middle of sitting at...a table for two when we were approached and told to go to the counter first and order....Ok..bit odd. We stood for a few minutes without anyone seeing to us when I spied the menus at the counter. We stood deciding and then were asked to order. No pleasantries, just.. "Ok what do you want?"... a bit dry. The order was taken in a manner that was more concerned that the money was taken than the fact that we were actually customers. I think yer woman was under a bit of pressure, but nonetheless she wasn't very welcoming or engaging. I cannot fault the other young lady who served us our food and tea. I, for one, will be walking on by here the next time we are in the area....the sandwiches were basic, yip they were tasty, but too pricey for the unwelcoming ambience.More

We popped in the the Crescent Tea room recently passing through Waterville. Initially we were in two minds as it was very quiet but we were starving so took a chance. Delighted we did as we had a lovely sandwich and coffee with a fantastic...view of the sea. There were also delicious looking home made cakes and pastries, we just didn't have time so sample them unfortunately! Would be fabulous for Afternoon Tea.More

Lovely. Pick your scone type, at least 3 to choose from. Empty plates says it all. Very nice and friendly staff.

My husband & I stopped in for a coffee & were met by the owners, who bake their own pastries and make specialty drinks to order, along with other breakfast & lunch items on the menu. The cafe is set on Ballinskelligs Bay, with intimate...tables carefully placed to provide for a cozy meal. The room is decorated with tasteful kitchen & dining antiques. My husband ordered a latte & a Bailey’s cheese cake, while I ordered coffee with triple fudge cake. Beyond decadent! We’ve been back twice and hope to stop by again before leaving!More

During our holiday to Co. Kerry, my husband and I visited Waterville. There's not much to it really. Just the main street which doesn't take very long to walk from one end to the other. As I like my food very plain, we did find...it hard to find somewhere to eat. We walked the length of the main street and came across a lovely little B&B called 'The Crescent' which also operates a tearoom. We had lovely freshly made sandwiches which we both enjoyed. They also have a lovely selection of home baking too. The place is very clean. I used the toilets and I must say they were the cleanest public toilets I've used in quite a while. If you're ever in Waterville, give this place a go, you won't be disappointed.More

I've had the scones (real cream and lovely jam!) and also have stopped in for lunch. I had walnut & cream cheese sandwich - nicely presented with a side salad & potato chips (crisps) on nice seeded bread. The herbs added to the cream cheese...were delightful! The front window on a sunny day is THE spot to be; the outside tables in warm weather are perfect for people watching and viewing the sea. Rob & Cathy are perfect hosts - it's nice to talk about the area with people who love Waterville! Enjoy!More

The latte's - excellent, the baked goods - to die for. The owners told us all about their restoration of this beautiful tea room and B&B - If we had stayed in Waterville, we would have booked here, for sure. Very friendly and kind owners....One of the highlights of our daily stops for coffee and a treat.More

We were driving down Main Street and saw the Tea Room. We are so glad we happened upon it. The savory sandwiches were excellent. Coronation Chicken was just delightful. Topped off the meal with Bailey's Cheesecake and Carrot Cake. Well...how many ways can I say...delicious???!!! Kathy, the owner, is very knowledgeable about tea and offered advice based on our likes/dislikes. It is a pleasant change from the traditional pub fare. The sunlit room is beautifully decorated and has an excellent view of the bay.More
