Group of 6 ate here one night food was very good. Service was a bit gruff and rushed. Felt like they wanted to flip the table quickly, for the next group? Restaurant is very close to the water and has a large enclosed glass room...More

Thank you for dining at Smugglers Inn and for your review. Delighted that you enjoyed the food but sorry to learn that you feel the service was a bit gruff and rushed - this was certainly not our intention to make you and your group,...More

We spent about 30 minutes just trying to find a place after we knew where it was. Most of my party was ready to give up and eat at a lesser place. Well everybody was happy after we got there and had dinner. It actually...More

When you’ve travelled on your ‘bucket list’ to Norway, the Faroe Islands and Iceland, all of which, to be fair, were amazing, nothing compares with the food presented at the Smugglers Inn. Yes the Inn itself is only 3*, but a bed is a bed...More

Yes, we can prepare pan fried fish if you wish. If the description on the menu does not state "pan fried" then you ask your server to request it that way with the Chef.

Description
Nestled in the beautiful coastal scenery of Waterville, County Kerry, the Smugglers Inn has been a family run business since 1980. Henry Hunt, Chef/Proprietor, prides himself on the variety of delicious locally sourced produce available in his restaurant. Fresh fish landed in Portmagee, lobster from Ballinskelligs Bay, meats and game from Kerry, and vegetables sourced from local farmers are just a few of the mouth watering foods that keep our customers coming back for more. All dishes are made in-house to provide our guests with the best possible produce. So with great food, accommodation and wedding packages, not to mention the incredible wild Atlantic views, what's not to love. Open on a seasonal basis from April to October. Booking advisable as may be closed on quiet days at the start and end of the season.
