Had a takeaway meal from this restaurant on the last night of a week stay in Kerry. The food was outstanding. The menu is short but i could not fault the food. Great place to have around

Our family has travelled to Kerry every year for the past 6. However this is the first time we've tried this restaurant. Whilst amidst the covid pandemic we may sure to be very careful and conservative in public having come from England and try and...be as respectful to everyone else as possible. This meant we only went to buy supplies when necessary and this was the only takeaway we got. The restaurant was very well adapted to the situation, with the person greeting us (who couldn't have been more pleasant and welcoming) wearing a mask and keeping a distance for us. We then gave our order and although the wait was slightly long it was certainly worth it and allowed us to take in the Waterville sea front. Another small detail I appreciated was the food being served in cardboard boxes and paper bags, as opposed to the usual plastic containers. The food itself was delicious, rich in flavour and well worth its price and although one of the Thai red curries was possibly on the runny side, the flavour made up for it being fragrant and delicious. All in all a very pleasant and refreshing experience which we all certainly hope to replicate next year and in future visits.More

The best takeaways we’ve ever had. Fantastic for vegetarians.

Arrived late in waterville and ordering from five spice was the best decision. Best steak and chips takeaway it was like it was homemade. Pad thai veg noodles was amazing. The best and most flavoursome vegetarian takeaway ever.

Ordered here twice it was so nice!

Stayed in Waterville for a week and got 5 spice the first night we arrived. It was fantastic. Food was delicious and tasted so fresh. We also got it again for one of our last days. Thank you so much!

Beautiful authentic food and lovely service

Enjoyed the most beautifully made chicken wings and Thai curries the other night. The best we’ve had actually. Also the service was excellent. Susanna was so friendly and attentive. We were so well looked after. Looking forward to coming back to town in a few...weeks! Mmmm🥰More

Extremely tasty food

Just walked by this this little place today.we were extremely happy we did as we were licking our lips after our visit.food took a little longer but its also good to know its freshly prepared .Really delicious and fairly priced. Would recommend this family run...wee restaurantMore

Tasty and friendly

We decided to give FiveSpice a try based on local recommendation and for something a little different from traditional Irish meals. The meal was tasty and exactly what we'd expected. Bland and overcooked

Food was over cooked including the rice. Ribs were burnt, penko prawns were soggy two red curries were very bland with vegetables over cooked. Poor quality meat and only 5 prawns in the other dish.

Lovely authentic Asian

Visited with a friend of mine on Saturday evening. We both had curries, his a green prawn curry, mine a red chicken curry. We were very impressed with the dishes. Lots of fresh veg in the curries, plenty spices used. A little bit more expensive...than the average Asian restaurant but still good value for money. Glad we went and will return another day.More

A hidden gem for really high quality Asian food

This is NOT a standard take-out Chinese restaurant. We did not expect anything out of the ordinary for Waterville where most of the other options were pub food. What you will find is a quaint little restaurant run by a Malaysian chef with 20+ years...of experience and his Slovakian wife (who was super sweet and accommodating). They have made Ireland their home, and decided a few years back to open their own restaurant. Given his skill set, he should be in the employ of an Asian restaurant at a five-star hotel. His command of different Asian styles (Singapore, Malay, Indonesian, Korean) is really refined. The food was delicious and went way beyond the standard 'Asian fusion' menu in quality and detail. We had the pork belly which was delicious and perfectly prepared. I highly recommend it. This restaurant would not be out of place at all in one of the swankier districts of Dublin. Worth going out of your way for if you are in the West Kerry way and tired of pub grub.More
