I've ate here a few times and the food has always been really good. Friendly staff and great service. Nina, felicity and Emma are always friendly and helpful. They have a fabulous small room upstairs for small family occasions. Worth a visit.

This review is outrageously late but better late than never! A group of 30 of us came here for dinner for my friends hen party and it was such a brilliant experience! From how easy they made it organising the night and how well they...catered for all the individual needs to the food, atmosphere and service everything was exceptional! We were so well taken care of and everyone spoke so highly of the night. Thanks so much to all at La Cucina for an amazing night, still think of it fondly now months laterMore

This was my first visit to this restaurant. Very nice vintage Italian decor and welcoming staff on the start. We was order for main pasta carbonara and sirloin steak. My pasta was a one a best Italian pasta in Ireland, very creamy and nice flavour, with option...to cange a tipe of pasta. My friend order a midium rare steak and she say it was perfect. Temperatura and quality of the meat. Delighted with portions of the meals. And for the end tiramisu to die. Highly recommended!More

Went last night 7th March for my sisters birthday. Starters were tiny. I got carbonara with no sauce. My sisters ordered the special enchiladas and asked does chips come with them and the waiter said yes when they came out only a few tortilla chips...with the dish. We ordered white and red wine then re ordered two more bottles and the waitress brought us down two different bottles. We got the bill and was shocked HOUSE WINE was 25 a bottle. We were starving leaving the restaurant. I do not recommend this restaurantMore

Lovely ambiance, friendly staff, but pizza had that flat compressed look that comes from being shrunk-wrapped. My tomato and sausage dish tasted of tinned tomatoes and little else.

We loved the atmosphere, music and the staff are super friendly. Full marks! But the food was only ok. Starter pricey for what it was, pasta overcooked and pizza smothered in cheese. House wine at 6.45 also not a bargain with half full glasses being...served. Maybe we picked the wrong night, I hope we did because this cosy restaurant could be a real gem otherwise.More

Myself, sister and nephew have been to this wonderful restaurant a couple of times now and each time the staff, food and atmosphere is excellent. A lovely family ran restaurant that takes pride in what they do. The homemade pizza is just delicious and the...chips with the parmesan cheese is just so tasty. Reasonably priced. We will definitely be back. Keep up the great work.More

I was so amazed by everything about this restaurant. I’m in Athlone for a work trip, originally I’m from Milan, and I can safely say that I had one of the best pasta dishes I had in my life. Prices very good here and the...waiter very nice. To finish I had the tiramisu and it was the same like my Nonna’s! I can’t wait to return. If you like authentic Italian eating experience, you must arrive here.More

I cant rate this restaurant highly enough. Honestly it has been the best dining experience of our lives. Both my wife and I agreed that we have never tasted a pasta dish as nice, and we have holidayed in Italy every year for the past...9 years! The service is second to none, the waitress wsnt above and beyond for us to ensure everything was perfect, and it was, perfection. I already cant wait to go back to get another taste of authentic Italian food. Between the decor, ambience, service, prices, authenticity of flavours, im positive that la cucina will give you a dining experience you'll never forget, just like it did for us!More
