I did enjoy my meal but unfortunately there was a very limited vegetarian choice for my other half. 1 vegetarian starter on the main menu but they did accommodate a further two choices off menu. Only one vegetarian main dish and no alternative. This is...of course not unusual for most restaurants and the industry needs to do something about this as more and more take up this choice. There was a party of 5 in the restaurant and they were exceptionally loud and you could see from their table several bottles of wine had been consumed and this was contributing to their high sprits. The noise was so bad that we contemplated leaving after our first course. I could overhear the table next to us discussing the level of noise as well and they were very unhappy leaving as they said quite loudly that the “the shouting is ridiculous in here” I guess hoping the table would hear them. The floor manager eventually went to their table and had a word and then silence was blissful. And fair play to her for doing this as it can be a delicate situation to handle. Ah I thought, we can get back to an enjoyable evening at last. Unfortunately that didn’t happen as the wine continued to be poured by the waitress’s and the more they guzzled the louder they got. I went to the toilet downstairs at one stage and I could hear them shouting and laughing above the normal drum of a bustling restaurant. My issue is that the staff contributed to our and other customers discomfort by filling them up with wine after they were already asked to keep it down. The staff did not ask us at any point how our meal was either as if they did I would have used the opportunity to tell them I actually developed a headache throughout the course of the evening as a result of the party of 5. The food was good and it was clear that a lot of time and effort was put into each plate. The only one small issue I had was there was no seasoning on the tables and this is common place since Covid but most other restaurants will ask at least would we like seasonings. Will I go back again, most likely at some stage.More

Ate here as a couple and had three courses as they have a set menu. This food is exceptional; beautiful dishes perfectly executed and a creative well priced wine list. Staff also very nice. We will be back.

Thyme provides an imaginative menu of high quality food which is prepared and presented extremely well. The staff are warm and the ambience is good. There is a reasonably extensive wine list which has some interesting wines and is reasonably priced. There is a limited...number of wines available by the glass and some by 1/2 carafes. The menu is €58 which is actually very good value. I had scallops and venison which were excellent and a chocolate desert. It has a Bib gourmand but I think it’s better than that.More

This was our 4th visit to Thyme I believe. We went on a Sunday night, and it wasnt busy like the other times we were there. I think its because of staff shortages that are a real problem for hotels and restaurants now unfortunately. The...two ladies that looked after us couldn't have been nicer, very friendly and also knowledgeable about the menu. I had the pheasant and my wife had the duck, both were fabulous. First time for me having pheasant and I was not disappointed. Lovely food and great service, thanks Thyme.More

As far as I am aware they will be able to accommodate you. The restaurant isn't that big so contact them in advance to book for a large number of people and to discuss your dietary needs. You won't be disappointed. Enjoy the... More

Hi Niamh, Thank you for your enquiry. Our restaurant is wheelchair accessible but we are situated in an old building and our toilets are down a stairs. Apologies if this is not suitable, Kind Regards, John Coffey
