Good food, wait time too long.

Food is amazing, pricey, but for a treat who really minds? Selection of seafood is the best in Athlone. I have been here twice and both times the wait time has just been unacceptably long, especially considering other similar restaurants within walking distance have much...shorter wait times. Finally, some food with taste.

After eating in various places across Ireland I found myself longing for some decently seasoned food (there seems to be some kind of season-phobia around here) and I was surprised to find a steak that, not only it was made with high quality meat cooked...to perfection, but also was seasoned before cooking, . Even some sauteed vegetables that came along where full of flavour, quite a few degrees above the dreadful steam cooked always the same veggies that seem to be served everywhere. Also a extra point for having some special cuts of meat that break the boredom of the sirloin/striploin/fillet trilogy... I recommend this place and surely will return every time I travel to Athlone.More

Lovely

Food was absolutely beautiful. Was on the pricey side, along with the €30 service charge but was still very enjoyable staff were efficient and helpful.

Serious good steak

We had a party of 5 on a Saturday night. We just had main course but we were no disappointed. I ordered medium rare and it was cooked to perfection. The veg and sides were delicious. I would highly recommend this place to and meat...lover. We had a vegan in our party and their options were limited to 1 item but because of the selection of sides she was very happy. Staff were amazing and so lovely. We will return.More

Amazing experience 10/10

Me and my boyfriend enjoyed the most amazing night here , the food was unreal steak was cooked to perfection and staff was so attentive, we where asked numerous times if we where okay and if we needed anything we didn’t once feel like we...where stuck for food or without anything food was served super fast no long waits , I will deffo be backMore

Disappointed

Visited on a Saturday night in June . We noticed immediately the menu was pricey but didn’t mind as was treat . For pricey menu on a Saturday night the rump steak wasn’t available, two of the desserts also were not available. Steak was nice...enough. Service was fairly good . Was a little disappointed as we enjoy a steak house but for the prices charged it didn’t deliverMore

Terrible! Do not come here!

I have never experienced such horrendous customer service in a restaurant. We got our starters and then had to wait an hour for our mains - my steak was cooked incorrectly I asked it to be cooked more and they came back and gave me...a steak much smaller than the first time. The mashed potato was frozen, what restaurant doesn't cook mash from scratch? The manager was so rude, when we asked why the food was taking so long we got told 'what do you want me to do about it?'. We are on a family holiday having a lovely time and unfortunately the people that work here have ruined our weekend, they have no respect for their customers.More

Excellent food and all in a safe environment

Had a wonderful meal here tonight, great food (esp limoncello sorbet dessert) and we felt v safe. Steak was fab as was halloumi steak.

Soooo good!!

I visited here with my husband for a Saturday Night sitting and had a really great meal. I'm vegan, my husband is not so it is hard sometimes when we're eating out however I found this restaurant really accommodating. If you are vegan you should...let them know when you book however. My husband ate from the steak menu and I ate from the tapas, the vegetables and salad were really very fresh and really delicious. I'd definitely recommendMore
