Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We left Galway to drive to the Cliffs of Moher and were looking for a breakfast stop. We found this non-pretentious cafe on the main road through Lisdoonvarna, and they basically prepared to our requests - eggs, toast, coffee, juice etc. The food was good...and the cost was fair. It proved a good choice.More

We were there on a Sunday for lunch. First of all, the whole place smelled like fried oil and the floor was slippery and dirty. The three girls serving weren't attentive and were on the phones, probably checking Instagram & Co most of the time....They had enough to do, e.g. cleaning tables and serving others but they weren't interested. The Food was at least good.More

Visited yesterday not busy. Not a great selection of food. Ordered soup salad apple pie coffee. Water. Soup salty. Salad ok. Tiny portion of apple pie (they only charged for small portion). Seating outside could be more attractive

Stopped in lisdonvarna today for lunch. We walked around and in the end decided to call to "The Terrace" cafe.We went in and were made feel welcome straight away. I had tea and a proper chicken salad sandwich. My wife had the tomato and basil...soup with brown bread. And my daughter had the soup with proper ham and cheese toasted sandwich. When i say proper i mean freshly cut chicken and ham off the bone. We also had a portion of chips. Again the chips were as chips are supposed to be. Proper spuds chipped. If you are in the area I would suggest you visit this place. Very reasonably priced also.More

I was out with a friend and we had our lunch in this place: the food is amazing! I had a burger - perfect burger - with hand cut chips <3 . She had mushroom sauté (I tasted it, and I need it in my...life, now) and chickens wings. I really enjoyed eating here, I will be back for sure!More

Ate here recently and I was very impressed! I had Hoisin duck spring rolls, with pickled veg and chips. The homecut chips were to die for and flavour of the spring rolls was delicious. Very clean and well maintained establishment with very friendly staff. Would...highly recommend!More

Service was good, mocha was just ok, but the seafood chowder was amazing!!!! Not a huge amount of personality as far as the cafe itself but the food (what we had) didn’t disappoint!

We stopped off for tea and cake, a favourite hobby of ours. While the teapot was a great size and hot the cake was disappointing. A chocolate slice for himself that was warmed and served with cream but the cake itself was too sweet and...had no real texture. Mine was salted caramel and reminded me of a frozen dessert that has been defrosted, it was disappointing and not cheap.More

Stopped here for a quick drink only. Coffee was very good and the wife had a massive pot of tea that would have served 4 at least. Loos were absolutely spotless and food being served looked good and sizeable portions too. A really nice place...to sit and watch the world go by.More

Stumbled across this café while touring around Clare with friends and couldn't be happier with what we found! Decided on soup and toasted sandwiches to warm us up on a cold January day - food was both tasty and reasonably priced! Exactly what we needed!...Service was friendly and the whole cafe was modern and clean! Would definitely visit again!More

From the moment we entered we knew we had chosen correctly, nestled bedside the church on the main street we saw The Terrace on the way into town and decided to give it a try, and we were delighted, 5 of us travel weary, hungry and...tired after a day on the Burren we were headed for doolin but this little treasure caught our attention, from the easy going member staff and the easy flowing conversation she had with everyone that walked in, to the chef who you could hear working away in the kitchen it just works really well. I couldn't recommend The Terrace enough, well priced and all 5 of us were impressed with food portion and quality, toilets were spotless and the decor is tasty, well worth a visit and we'll be back.More
