Must have hit this place on a bad day because the food we were served was not what I'd call good at all...disappointing.

The owner and staff (family?) offer very good food and friendly service. We've had several good traditional Irish meals, e.g. stew, as well as their homemade pizza; note, the pizza is large! There are usually fish specials which go well in the Oughterard angling area....More

We came to this family-run pub two nights in a row. Once for dinner and the second for a few drinks. Dinner was delicious. I had the steak and tiger prawns dinner which was cooked well and flavorful. The owner crafted his own whiskey list,...More

Enjoyed a really good dinner on sea bass. Very nice personnel who patiently explained strange Irish things to us foreigners. So nice we had to return for a beer later the same night.

I had the Irish stew and was very satisfied. As well the size of the meal as the taste were good and the price reasonable. They have a small patio to sit outside but shielded from the wind

A wonderful Irish experience with quality food and service. Wonderful traditional Irish music on Thursday nights! Loved Jimmy and his story telling songs!

We had a very tasty meal, I've had a delicious (!!) bannofe pie and we drank some pints listening to live music. Good times! We especially liked the kind staff, who take their time to have a little chat and make you feel like home.
