Too long time to wait for the food. It took us 50 minutes to wait, and the portions were also very small. I left the restaurant hungry.More

Went in this evening for my wife’s birthday, after reading the reviews online. 3 of us had the prawns and 1 lasagne. Unfortunately all 3 prawn dishes really only tasted of the batter which was very thick. The chillie sauce and tartare sauce were both...good and were the fries. The staff were efficient. Had deserts - the apple crumble was good but the Eaton mess was very poor. Didn’t complain, paid the bill and tipped, but overall it was a pretty average experience.More

The staff did an excellent job, especially with our requests to adjust the lighting on the dancefloor.

We had a group that had a variety - corned beef and cabbage, beef and Guiness pie, fisherman’s pie, fish and chips. All exceptionally good. Very large portions. Cheesecake also very good - although we were VERY full!!

We had the most amazing night - food was excellent- staff were friendly welcoming and warm - the show was outstanding with dancers (amazing) the guys were amusing and had history/tales on the music. Irish stories and humour. The actual pub is fabulous and cannot...wait to visit again - if in Dublin get the Dart train or drive it is the prettiest working fishing town/ village and also visit the summit for amazing views -you can catch a bus to near the top. On the way up or down grab some lunch at the Abby Tavern that is amazing too - food was recommended by the receptionist in our hotel in Sutton, that is how we found it xx couldn’t stop popping in - it was great. We also took a boat trip off the harbour around the island - brilliant .More

I had lunch here last weekend with some friends and I would have to say it was the best experience of food and service I have received in Howth. We all agreed that the food was fantastic and great portion size and value. We would...recommend the Fish and Chips,Beef pie and Fish Platter. But all the food looked great coming to other peoples tables.Everybody looked happy. The staff were very friendly and very attentive to their guests. They were all smiling and very chatty to everybody even though this is a very busy Restaurant they always made sure we were happy with our food and enjoying our experience. Certainly a place worth visiting when in Howth..100% ALL ROUNDMore

Our group explored Howth one Saturday and built up an appetite. We happened upon the Abbey Tavern and had an amazing lunch. Everyone was so friendly and the food was delicious. One of us is vegan and the menu had a few items they could...eat. Everything served to us was delicious. Thomas took care of us as far as food and drink recommendations and bringing us everything quickly. Plus he's filled with information about the area. What a find for us!More
