Visited the Brass Monkey three times on a recent visit to Howth. Very happy on all three occasions. Relatively small restaurant but well able to cater to groups up to eight people. Good seafood menu, appropriate for the location. Chowder is a must as a...starter. Fish and chips were pretty good too. Bar a bit limited, especially for cocktails but regular drinks and wines were great. Staff very friendly even with the place packed. Obviously we enjoyed it since we went back for more a couple of times.More

Midweek lunch visit. Starters of Sardines (lacking flair, imagination & dry), Monkfish & Prawn Taco (very tasty but very small portion of fish; 1 prawn/3 small pieces monkfish). Mains of Fish & Chips were delicious & crisp. Service was pleasant but slow. 1 Guinness, 1...Pinot Grigio & 2 coffee. Total: €75.50.More

Beautiful seafood lunch after cliff walk. We had chowder, fish tacos & cod & chips, sitting outside. All simple dishes but very tasty. Food & drinks well priced for Howth. Looked after by really nice waitress, made our visit all the more special on this...bright & chilly Spring day.More

The absolute best chowder in the world! Excellent wine pairing Service was top (my partner suggested we write a poor review, just in case it gets too crowded!)

My husband and I had a meal here yesterday evening and I have to say it was the most delicious meal I have ever tasted. I had hake and my husband had salmon and both dishes were seasoned and cooked to perfection. We finished off...with chocolate meringue 😋. The staff were welcoming and friendly and the service was excellent. I would highly recommend this restaurant 👌More
