We walked into a very busy Saturday afternoon brunch service, and while they didn't have any tables inside the waitstaff/management went out of their way to get us a table in the beer garden. The food was delightful and Fresh. The wait staff was very...attentive. They made our last day of holiday very special.More

We were seated out the back which was lovely and cozy but very dirty ( they were very busy and had a hen to take care of so we didn't mind) . Our waitress however was very rude. She seemed pissed off. Didn't look at...us and took our order while cleaning other tables ( which is fine if you can do both well, she didnt and had to ask again what drinks we wanted). I got 1 slice of toast and 2 hard boiled eggs. They were meant to be poached... I would not be writing this review if the service was better but no one checked on us during the meal and when we went to pay the waitress was rude again! The atmosphere was very stressful and we felt uncomfortable being there, as if we were an inconvenience.More

Absolutely unpleaseant staff, with no smile, no kindness. Welcoming all customers with: "Kitchen is closed". I was seated close the bar and i was given my coffee to collect it, with no service. My flat white was overheated with nearly boiling milk. Boxes with bottles...of wine, a window cleaner on the bar are signs of 100 BEST RESTAURANTS IN IRELAND as they present themselves. Very disappointing, stressful and unpleasant atmosphere.More

We had dinner on a Saturday night on a weekend visit to Howth. The food was good however in comparison to other venues we visited the staff were not friendly and welcoming.

My wife and I visited the House for breakfast. We were the first customers in the restaurant. We were seated directly next to the kitchen. Why give the 2nd worst seats to your first customers? As we received the menu we noticed prices didn‘t match...the ones on their website. We asked but didn‘t really got a satisfying answer. My wife ordered a advocado mash on toast with crumbled fetta and poached eggs with an americano, I ordered a combo of sausages with extra fried eggs and a sparkling water. I received an already opened bottle of San Pelligrino which didn’t taste as the original. During our waiting I could look into the kitchen where I saw the cook dropp a slice of bread on the kitchen floor, picked it up after 15 sec. and put it back on the grill. This was the toast for my wife‘s breakfast. Meanwhile the music in the kitchen was getting louder and different as the one playing in the Restaurant. We asked to be re-seated which wasn‘t a problem, although then they turned of the music completly in the presumption we didn’t want any. When the bill came prices weren‘t matching website nor presented menu so I claimed the menu for a double check . So really: if this is the best breakfast Restaurant in Howth, we pitty Howth. Never againMore

I and other family members (group of 7) had a pre-Christmas dinner at The House on December 18, 2021. Everything about it was fabulous - the food, the service and the ambience. We have a couple of allergies and our waitress bent over backwards to...accommodate our special needs, plus the chef came out to check up on us and make sure that they adjustments he made to menu items were good. I really wanted to eat there again before returning to the US but COVID prevented that. I will definitely try to go there again when back in Howth. Highly commend and recommend.More

I'm just back from a wonderful visit to "The House"this evening. After finding a number of restaurants "off" since re-opening, I was delighted to see that "The House" is as good as it was pre-pandemic. The Lemon Sole Special was sublime and was matched by...the toffee bread pudding desert. Portion sizes were good and the service was excellent. This restaurant has not been struck off my list. Look forward to going back. Thanks for the delight.More

Booked the outdoor dining option and really delighted we did. Outdoor heaters and lots of shelter made a rainy night in Howth feel Mediterranean!! Food was fabulous and we will definitely be back!
